this fight is so hard to pick, normally when I can't pick a fight, it ends up being close.

Big fan of both guys and will be supporting Cotto (underdog) on the grounds that i want him to give a good account of himself.

I think Pacquiao takes it though, possibly by late stoppage (TKO round 10 or 11). Cotto is too liable up the middle and Pacquiao is too precise offensively. Roach and Manny are great at building a camp around a gameplan and i think Manny will time Cotto well, particularly shooting straights from lower than usual and uppercuts up between Cotto's guard.

Should be a good high paced tactical battle early on though, turning into a barnburner around the middle rounds, can't ****ing wait. Hope Cotto proves us all wrong.

The thing is Cotto didnt deal with Mosleys speed, Shane fought stupid and just went head on trying to bang him out of there which is why he got counter punched easily.

Pacs speed of foot along along with his very quick accurate punches should give Cotto fits.

Cotto is Pacs first real test at this higher weight imo, but I will go with Pac by early stoppage maybe even the first round.

I dont necessarily dislike Pac. I think personally he looks like a lovely bloke, and in the last few years has improved in all aspects beyond belief. He definately isnt the Pac of old and is definately a top p4p today...

I think its more the *******s I dislike, who worship him like a demi-god.

People are still in awe about him stopping DLH, so what, DLH was weight-drained, weak & dehydrated. Freddie Roach knew exactly how Oscar was going to be coming into the fight, thats why they took the fight. Just watch the pre-fight interviews.

And Hatton, dont get me started on Hatton. A four limbed potato that anyone could have a chance of a big KO on.

I see a stoppage for Pac or a UD. Pacs speed, footwork & agility will prove too much for Cotto, and if he lands a shot flush on Cotto, its game over. Too much emphasis on Cotto's size is playing on peoples minds. He isnt that much bigger, nowhere near faster and I dont think he will be able to deal with a combination of Mannys attributes.

Cotto has absolutely a punchers chance but thats about it. He wont catch MAnny on the ropes and will be chasing him all night trying to land. This should be a comfortable win for Manny and I doubt this will be the war that everyone is claiming

Mayweather will be the one to prove that Manny does not belong with the WW's.

Look Az Mate, I concur on some of the Pac fans. But its the ones that know there boxing you should listen too.

I became a Pac fan because he has never once let me down. By this i mean he always has stepped up to take massive fights against some of the best out there. At a huge weight for him. (IMO i think he could still make 135 easy). He reminds me personally of a small Marvin Hagler.

But i feel its some fans that cant find solice in letting the *******s not get to them and it makes them hate Pacquiao in a way i feel he does not deserve.

I mean Pacman has been giving the fans the best fights out there to see and gets not much credit for it.

I like my boxers that are good for the sport dont give it a bad name and when you Pay to watch them (especially 50 bucks) you get your money's worth.

Like look at some of my fav fighters all great for the sport and PPV wise are f-ing awesome to watch

    Hagler
    Tszyu
    Tyson
    Pacquiao
    Tua

I can't go past Pacquaio who has looked awesome at the higher weight. No one did what he did to Hatton and De La Hoya but we can throw in the shot excuse because it's easy to do and it will be easy to throw in if he KOs Cotto too.

Would love to see PacMan win.

This fight offers so many variables, from the size difference between the two fighters at fight-time (likley to be 10 lbs plus!) to the styles they go in with. PacMan will have to be extra careful for a handful of rounds, but hope he can then ramp it up and win.

If PacMan wins he's a bloody marvel. If he happens to win by KO he's a god!

De La Hoya is my all time favourite fighter so I know he was probably about 7 years past his best but he was only 'shot' after the act.
If Cotto gets KOed will he be 'shot'?
I think we just need to accept Manny is not a little featherweight anymore, he just stomped the jr welterweight champion and is a legit welterweight threat.

    Dunnno,

May the best man win. It's month for great fights not just boxing. You got the UFC after this week. The half Filo dude Vera against Cotoure.Couture is a big man.And Vera has the upper hand in the striking department. But if it goes to ground I don't see how Brendan's going to hold him off.

yea, thats a very good point you made.He destroyed the jnr welterweight king, which does show he belongs in the jnr welter division at least..
