    Canelo's opponent is 21-2 with 13 ko's.

Tyner not a big name however it is expected that he will be fighting for a title in late 2010.

looks like a decent record but don't know the guy much less his opposition. Hope he can test Canelo so we can see what kinda heart Canelo really gots. You know lets see if he's really Mexican... JK

Canelo may well be the greatest Mexican fighter over 140 lbs ever....

That sounds okay altough looking at his record, the most outstanding achievement is not getting stopped in his two losses to Peterson and Arnaoutis. The way they are developing Alvarez, Tyler should be the last C level opponent, if he can blow this guy away, time to move on to the Alfonso Gomez level.

My ass Tyner will be fighting for a title in ever. He's okay, and he has more of a name than some of Alvarez's recent opposition, but he was thoroughly outclassed by Peterson and Arnaoutis at 140. Seems like a small step down from Gonzalez to me.

are you serious? Chavez Jr. was getting ready to fight Canelo? Damn, so I'm guessing if they both look nice in their fights we might be seeing them fighting some time next year.

I think the plan is for them to fight within year let it build up into a megafight....it would fill the Estadio Azteca in Mexico city and probably net ppv numbers that would rival PBF vs oscar

Tyner is a tough guy... Alvarez should win this one, but I expect Tyner to make a fight out of it...
