When he says things like "I've never been one to shy away from a challenge" it's like he's forgotten he got the granny beaten out of him in both fights. It's not like he overcame that challenge - he absolutely crumpled. He's an arrogant swine who thinks that beating an over the hill Tyszu, in his own backyard with debateable application of the rules, means he's a genuine world-beater. Just for his safety though, he should retire. Nothing worse than becoming a name who's remembered for getting kicked senseless in the last stage of his career, than a guy who briefly made boxing a mainstream attraction again.
I think Cotto has more integrity than that and don't think he'd take it,especially if Hatton never earned it with a significant win/wins.. Floyd would but Cotto is cut from a different cloth,he's a true fighter.

Gomez was a World Title defence,admittedly a poor one,shocking actually,but if Cotto beats Pac i'm certain he wouldn't fight Ricky. Hopefully he gets a crack at Floyd.
If Hatton wants to fight on he can do it at the Alexander/ Bradley/ Diaz/ Khan level and should be grateful that his name/ popularity allows him that luxury.
The only fight Ricky can win which would actually mean anything is Khan. Even this would be a tight one to call but Amirs lack of genuine power and suspect jaw would give him a chance. Anyone else worth a dam on the world scene would knock Ricky out cold. I really hope ricky didn't say this anyway because its completely arrogant and just plain laughable.

If Pacquiao can drop him 3 times in two rounds and put him out cold, and if Lazcano can wobble him, can you imagine what others up at 147 would do? No problem with the sentiments of the post mate. Its was just that "Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells" moment you had at the end of it..... If he can't do 140 (where there are plenty of decent fights) then he's ****ed, he struggled at 147 in his prime, theres no way he'd be competitive now.
