Where did you read that bit about not fighting at 140?Witter at 147-I know it won't happen but just throwing it out there.

I think the Khan fight is interesting for a comeback, but it may need to be built for a few fights. I could imagine it's a fair few fights down the line as well given that Khan fights quite regularly and Hatton is huge again. Other than that, a rematch with Urango for his IBF strap or a fight with another beltholder doesn't really interest me. He's said he won't be a stepping stone for Khan, so I can't imagine him agreeing to being one for Bradley either and Bradley won't make him a lot of money either.

A Katsidis fight would be good for a comeback, maybe:think. That fight would intrigue me as well as a JMM scrap. There aren't many others that particularly excite me, though. If he does intend on fighting the best of the welters, I don't want to see it.

I remember someone posting a link to 'The Sun' (bear with me) a few weeks ago saying that Hatton was looking at fights at 147 with Senchenko in the mix. Could be bull****, but he did look gaunt at the Pac weigh in as well, so who knows?:think It was The Sun, though.

 

Yeah but he's a well schooled southpaw who hasn't been continually wobbled by a series of percieved 'light hitters'.

 

Like who? He got flattened by Pac after shipping some big shots fair enough, but wobbled against Paulie? To say Lascano is a light hitter is an oft repeated myth as well, check out his record, the guy obviously has a decent dig on him.

Lets be honest outside of Witter, who may or may not have anything left, Alexanders record is a poor as you'll see for a 'major' world champ. He's proven very little at that level, its also true that Hatton may not have a lot left but to just say Alexander would flatten him seems a little OTT.

 

I think Hatton would have to take this fight at 147, in which case Cotto would beat him bad. I cant see Cotto taking a catchweight now against any other fighters

Khan is the only decent fight i'd give Ricky the chance of winning.

Cotto i believe has said that he won't let Margarito take any more money off his name. As for Hatton...he's one delusional motherucker that's all i can say.

It would be mad for Hatton to come back and fight Cotto at 147! He would get a beating. If they'd fought 3 years ago at 140 that woulfd have been some fight that could have gone either way, but now, at 147, Hatton would have little chance in my opinion.

I don't see any worthwhile fights out there for Hatton if he wanted to come back - he does'nt want to fight at 140 anymore, so who could he fight at 147 and have a chance of beating?? Cotto, Clottey, Judah, Mosely, Berto, Margarito......I dont give Hatton a chance against any of them.

 

The only fight I'm interested in seeing Hatton in is one with Khan. It would be a massive event and, potentially, a great fight. Hatton saying it won't happen, just as Cotto says a Margo fight won't happen, will be true until there's enough money on the table.

 

Totally agree mate and i think he would aswell. A lot of people forget how he boxed his ears off for 6-7 rounds. This time on fair terms he do it for longer. People forget he was swallowing blood for a while which imo was caused via the loaded gloves. Cotto is a man of honor..i just get impression he thinks Arum is trying to use the revenge card to earn $$$ out of him, Fact is i love to see my boy get revenge on the son of a *****.

 

I'd take margo in a rematch. Its obviously debatable how much a factor the wraps were and whether they contributed to Cotto swallowing blood but that was pretty comprehensive beat down Margo put on him and I think he'd do it again.

Cotto did well the first half of the fight but he's never liked steady pressure, having to work at pace and he knows he can't hurt Margarito. Those things arn't going to change if they have a second fight.
