despite my opinion that Cotto will be affected coming in at 145. I think Pac will be in a fight, and if he is sleeping on Cotto (I think Pac is predicting Cotto to be slow for the entire fight), he is dead wrong. Cotto will fight southpaw at times since he is a converted southpaw, and Manny will use speed, and even try to out muscle Cotto inside at times.

Cotto has to get through the first 5 rounds to be in the fight, and not get cut while PAc has to gain Cotto's respect by landing big early, and then moving to his left(Cotto's right) since I believe that Cotto has no right hand. More details tomorrow.

Both guys will try and be technicians....people are expecting a war, and I don't think you will see one......manny knows not to brawl with the bigger cotto, even though manny is a natural brawler....only roach has made him into a boxer....and in this fight IMO cotto is the natural boxer......which leads me to believe it will go the full 12......

On the ppv numbers ....it has to do 700,000 to be called a success...I think it will do about 750,000....the people I have talked to this week dont even know who miguel cotto is:-(

Cotto got this but whatever the outcome I like both of these guys for a Mayweather mega Match up. It will be a good 24-7 if its against pac and Pac has the bigger following and he may be more entertaining then cotto but I always wanted to see mayweather cotto

This fight will do over a mil. PAc is a boxer puncher, so he will need to stand his ground, and box also.

I still can't believe some people are using the weight as an excuse, Cotto asked for that weight, NOT Pac. Pac and his team wanted 143, Cotto said 145 or nothing. So obviously Cotto was ready to ditch it with a logical response that he can still make good money fighting Mosley in a rematch, Margarito in a rematch or even Mayweather Jr.

If Cotto had no one else then I MIGHT agree that he was forced to take this but that's not the case and not even close as obvious.

He came in at 146 for Clottey and I didn't see anyone say or hint he was drained in any way or affected.

Cotto asked for 145 AFTER PAc asked for 143, and Cotto was challenged by Pac, so you really have no point other than saying cotto asked for 145. Cotto wants the prestige of beating a top fighter, AND he can get paid. The weight is not an issue now. The time will come when we will find out how the weight affects Cotto. Why people think that Cotto coming in at 146 for his last fight means something when Cotto can weigh in at any weight below or no 147 is comical... Now he has to either weigh 145 or less to make weight, and it depends on when he makes weight, and how long he stays until fight time if he is at or below 145. Don't say it isn't a big difference when you have never, ever trained down to 6% body fat, and then have to lose 2 or more pounds to make weight.

Exactly:good. If he came in at 146 for clottey, then making 147 obviously doesn't give him problems. 145 is a little harder but I'd say he can make it without much fuss.

Cotto proposed 145 instead of the 143 Roach was requesting. I don't think Cotto wanted this fight at 145 however he knew Roach would never accept the 147 limit.

I don't see how this fight can do less than pac vs hatton (850k). This is a bigger fight than that. Not to mention the pr market that cotto is bringing in.

Cotto is the unknown commodity, and that is the only detriment to this ppv, if you want to call it a detriment to doing good ppv numbers. Both fighters have been seen on espn, and there are many commercials promoting the fight... I think the fight could do close to a mil if not a bit more ppv sales.

ITs true man people dont know how hard it is to lose weight when ur bodyfat is already that low. Its not like their fat asses that got 20%+ bodyfat and can lose it by drinking diet coke!
I used to wrestle in high school at 130lbs and weighed usually around 135-137 but my bodyfat was already at about 6-7%
TO make the weight u cant eat the day before and have to workout very intensely to lose that "little" bit of weight.
What they dont realize is that food is our fuel but when u have to cut that off and work out harder well it doesnt suit ur body well.
