The gloves come off thread: Pac vs Cotto!!

I still don't know who to pick. This is the hardest megafight for me to pick in quite awhile. Will Pac be able to take Cotto's power? Will Cotto fight smart and clinch to break up his opponents ryhthm or impose his size on Cotto? I just don't know.:-(

Much props to you for being a true boxing fan. I am of neither figher's nationality nor do I care to be, just hoping for an awesome fight between two great and exciting boxers.

Too bad some of these people doesn't give a care about the sport itself and just here to find an excuse to tout how great their race is. They should discuss that in a race related forum instead since that is a bigger issue to them than the fights itself.

Anyway it is great having both Pac and Cotto in the sport who are willing to take risks to make great fights. Regardless of who wins, much props to the winner although I enjoy Pac's fights more so I am rooting for him to continue winning and make more great fights. Pac vs. Fanny May for an ATG!!

Wow, I gotta say I disagree 100%.

1. I am a Puerto Rican (ok, well, half) who is rooting for Cotto because I like him better. I think it would make for a great, dramatic story. And I've always been a fan of his style. And I always enjoy rooting for the underdog more.

2. My girlfriend is Filipino, and I'll be watching the fight with her and her family. They'll all be rooting for Pac, without knowing a THING about Cotto, simply because Pac is Filipino. It was almost torturous watching the De La Hoya fight with them, because everyone becomes a boxing expert on Pacman's fight night, lol. I love em tho. And the man himself, as well as Roach, have said NUMEROUS times that they're doing it for the Filipino people.

Any other night, I'd probably root for Manny, but tomorrow I'm rooting for Cotto. That said, I still think Manny's gonna win, but I'm still rooting for Cotto to pull an upset...
