Well said. Unless you're standing right in front of your opponent punching with no semblance of defense then you're scared and running and a coward. Some people gotta learn just what the sweet science really is. Dumb uneducated MMA fans have yet to learn this(there are plenty of educated MMA fans...they happen to also enjoy boxing. I enjoy both though boxing is my ultimate sport of choice)
I can definately see Cotto getting into a groove rounds 4-8 with Manny moving alot and sticking and moving (aka running on ESB) until Cotto starts to slow down and gas a little bit.
Thats one way of looking at it. The other is that they implement the same strategy as they did in the DLH fight. It would be the smart move anyways.
i don't think he'll run but he'll be like clottey and respect cotto's strength,he'll be very cautious of how he approaches cotto
you really think manny will blitz the bigger man right out of the gate? its a possibility but he won't do it from the start...he will stick and move for at least 3 rounds IMO
I see it going just the opposite way. Cotto is gonna have a hard time finding Pac early, he will be getting outpointed up until he has to take a chance, when he does he will get countered by something he doesn't see and rocked. Unlike Judah, Pac will finish him. I like both fighters and Cotto needs this bad, I hope he wins but I don't think its going to happen
Pac will run from a Cotto punch and be back lightning speed to deliver an accurate punch. He'll do it over and over again. Manny will not feel Cotto's power because it will never land flush. He will never get set to give a power punch.
center of the ring.Pac might dart in and out get angle side etc.On the ropes he will move away and not stay there, siempre.I think Cotto jab and his foot positioning is key.He has to somehow circle left like Marquez did and jab in.Cotto lands a solid punch I do expect Pac to move away..I reckon Pacquiao is too good for that.. he'll too quick.Unless Cotto timing is perfect.I can see him get caught out of position and recieve fast punches.
For those who say that Cotto never run, the last few rounds of the Mosley fight, he was actually running, and clumsily I might say.
