Yes, I think he is a better fighter than Calzaghe. Has he accomplished more? Of course not, that's ridiculous. What is he? 25? NOW I'm going to have put up with all kinds of name calling bull**** from a bunch of boxing novices due to this. All we need to do is wait just a FEW more weeks and we'll see what Ward does to Kessler, compared to what Calzaghe did to Kessler. It's already been beaten to death. There's nothing left to say that nobody has already said.

People said the same about Dirrell, and he ended up dominating the last rounds...... Just because you haven't gone 12 doesn't mean you cant do it. Far far from it.

 

Kessler will break Ward down and he will knock him out. I think Ward will hold his own for 3 or 4 rounds but Kessler is the better boxer with better power and eventually that will begin to tell in the ring.

He is clearly the best american talent in the super six. I am pulling for him big time. However, Kessler is a very good boxer in his own right so I think the fight will be close.

 

He has an advantage in handspeed, defense and angle punching. This is what will put him over the top. he is down on power to kessler and kessler has a better jab. The fight will likely be 7-5 one way or another,.

 

really he has a hand speed advantage? Kessler was matching Calzaghe's spped until Joe straightend out his punches and ward isn't really that fast. and his dfense has never been tested agaist a fighter with the arsenal of Kessler's. he thows an excellent 1-2 and has a great right hand has power in both hands and he has a pretty good left hook when he uses it. and one of the best things he can throw combo's in the middle of the ring aswell as when he has his opponet on the ropes. ward is a very good fighter but Kessler is better in every dept.

Kesslers only attribute in this fight over Ward is his power.

All Ward needs to do is run like Haye did, he does not need to throw any punches at all.
