Almost perfect except prime Bowe is significantly better than prime Klitschko (both).

Lewis was out on his feet and ready to go. Max Kellerman, a well known Klitschko haters, was sitting right behind Lewis' corner, he said that he had never seen Lewis flop down on his stool so hard. Lewis had to hold on to Vitali to keep from going down. Vitali has great stamina and was ready to knock Lewis out, but Lewis was saved by the bell. Lewis did not like his broken nose and retired rather than fight Vitali again. Angelo Dundee said that Vitali was cheated out of the WBC belt that night. He was Ali and Leonard's trainer and one of the best cut men ever.

Lewis was on his way out in that fight. Vitaly would have stopped him in a few more rounds.

I see it the opposite. I think Lennox was starting to land cleaner punches and was going to land his right soon enough and stop Vitali.

I am masive Lewis fan since early 1990s but I think that last round really took it out of Lewis, he hit Vitali with a massive uppercut and the guy still came back eventually and eneded the round strong. Lewis just about fell onto his chair and seemed like "wtf can I do to this guy", Vitali did seem a little fitter at the end of the fight so perhaps he would have outlasted Lewis in the next 2-3 rounds.
Anyway as it is, Lewis ****ed his face up and stopped him with one of teh worst cuts seen, so thats good enough for me :D

Then you do not know Vitali. He gets warmed up after the sixth round. He staggered Lewis and broke Lewis nose. Lewis refused a rematch after giving his word, he retired rather than fight. You see what you want to see.

Vitali by KO/TKO within the next two rounds, max.

Lewis was shot. That's what Kellerman said, who was sitting not far behind Lewis' corner and it's what guys like Dundee have said (that VK would have won).

Vitali was obsessed with Lewis. Not just that night but before the fight and after it, too. He would have given his left leg to beat Lewis. Lennox didn't feel the same way, and he definitely didn't that night. Plus, his nose was broken and he was starting to tire badly.

Even after the "big" uppercut, Vitali won like the last minute of the final round.

Lennox won the only way he could, that night, and he did a smart thing, IMO, hanging them up instead of giving VK the rematch he said he would. He won, and he got out.

If you took the cut out of the equation, I think Vitali would have had a good chance to win.

But who knows? All we really know is that Lewis won. The fight enhanced both fighter's reputation.

I have all of Vitali's fights on tape. I knew he would beat Lewis. Vitali's mistake was that the threw caution to the wind, he would take a punch to get in a punch, he did not care. Lewis could not hurt him, Vitali is a true warrior. Vitali gets warmed up around the sixth round. If Vitali had boxed Lewis like he usually does that fight would have been easy, but he was so excited about fighting Lewis. Vitali was not staggered period, but Lewis was. It's a shame the fight was stopped, Vitali should have, at least, been given one more round and that's all he needed.

Could he have won is up for debate.

Would he have won, the answer is no.

Did he win, the answer is Lewis TKO 6.

Its just a credit to how high Lewis is thought of now hes retired, that he cant win even when he stops the guy fair and square in 6 rounds.

I'm not a huge fan of either 1, but in all honesty, there's no way Vitaly could've won that one... the tide was turning fast and ugly against Vitaly!
