FINAL and OFFICIAL POLL! Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto

I think that Pac Man wins this on hand speed with a late stoppage...Round 8 or 9...:yep

 

I made my pick without voting on the poll.

In actuality I believe that no matter what, the fight will be competitive enough that there is little chance that Cotto will win a decision without completely and thoroughly dominating.

Marquez had to win his rounds big in order to bank them on the official judges cards.......thats an extremely uphill climb that Cotto has to dig himself up from.

Every media outlet is talking Pacquiao-Mayweather, so you know that Cotto has to win his rounds big in order to bank them.
I have no doubt in my mind that any round even semi-competive will be ledged for Pacquiao.
......not a knock on Pacquiao, its not his fault. Its just the way boxing operates, its a business first and foremost before it is a sport.

Cotto will win a decision in the minds of most members in this forum......that does'nt mean Cotto will win on the official judges cards.
That is my prediction.


Btw.....I have picked Pacquiao in big fights before......the 3rd Morales fight, and the MAB rematch!
......and I actually did pick Pacquiao over DLH....just I did'nt do it in an official poll.
To that fight I posted if both fighters walked into the ring weighing the same, I'd pick Pacquiao........little did I know when I posted that, that DLH would walk up the ring steps at 147 lbs, 1 lbs less than Pacquiao.:nut

 

I think it's a toss-up and I'm leaning towards Cotto. I like both fighters but I'll be rooting for Pacquiao.

Im going with Pac. Cotto looked so healthy in those weigh in pics that I think my "Pac KO5" dream that i had might not actually happen. But im going with pac UD or late accumulation TKO.

This is my fun pick: Cotto wins a controversial decision. Manny lands many flurries on Cotto, but Cotto lands the harder punches here and there and the judges think it's enough for him to retain his title. It would be weird if that exact thing happened. But my real pick is Cotto to stop Pacquiao and if Pacquiao outclasses or stops Cotto, then I'll have to admit - the little dude is brilliant.

I've finally made up my mind. I hate to say this but i think Cotto wins via KO. Too prime, too big, too strong, fast enough hands and good enough skills to withstand Pacman's barrages.
