would beating pacquiao make cotto p4p no.1 in your opinion?

    hard to say

depending on how the fight goes Pacquiao might still be p4p #1 if he loses to Cotto, being that he's so much smaller.

Also, Cotto might be #1, or PBF could be #1, or to some people it could even be Mosley.

really have to wait and see HOW the fight goes down.

In my eyes it would. There's only one other scalp in the sport that carries the kind of weight Pac's does, so if a guy I already rank in my top 5 pulls it off it'd be hard to keep him out.

Consider that if Miguel wins, that'd be two wins over people in the P4P list right now and he'd have the best Welterweight resume out of the 4-5 Welters that typically get ranked in them.

Nope. Where cotto ranked now 6 or 7?

One win gonna make him jump 7 places, hell no.

Marquez is at number 5, due to his recent loss and performance.

If pac loses he needs to get dropped just as bad. Its only fare:deal

no, not for me. as it's not a title you have to look more globally (skills set, resume, recent performance, etc). based on the clottey fight i put him top 10 but unless he dominates and obliterates pac, he'll only make top 5 for me

He'd certainly would have to be in the top 5, and you can make a good argument for top 3.

If Cotto wins tonight, Floyd moves up to 1, Cotto to 2 and Pac to 3 in my list!!

Obviously the manner of the victory also has to be factored in....

Amazing how Pac fans are all over the place with "no excuses, Miguel" threads but have their own excuses ready.

ON topic: hard to tell, why would Floyd deserve the P4P#1 position (only 1 fight in 2 years) with win over #1 LW 36-year old JMM and Cotto NOT deserve it with wins over WW champ Clottey and #1 LWW & P4P King 30 year-old PacMan?

Hopkins is too inactive and Pac and JMM with losses, they'd hardly quality for #1. So I guess Cotto would deserve that ranking, but 66% expect PacMan to win, so let's discuss this IF Miguel can pull off the upset.
