If Cotto goes the distance and outboxes Manny for enough rounds to win, how likely is it the judges and promotion will give Cotto the nod over Manny when everyone in the world wants to see Pacquaio vs Mayweather? I tend to think Cotto has to stop Pacquiao to win. With the odds as 1 sided as they are, you have to wonder why Manny is so favored. I wouldn't think a challenger taking on a champion in what is arguably his prime would be that favored. I'm worried if Pacquiao can't put Cotto away we'll go to the score cards and we'll see the work rate of Manny outpoint the power and accuracy of Cotto. Anyone here think I'm overthinking this for nothing? I just remember the utter disgust I felt when Oscar beat Felix Sturm on points just to keep a mega fight alive. I hope that won't happen again.

I have a feeling if it goes to the cards, Cotto will get robbed, even if its a clear win so I really dont want to even think about a decison right now.....

I agree as well Cotto needs to dominate Pacquaio. I'm hoping that he knocks him out, it will make it that much sweeter.

He needs to have a near shut out to not have the judges rule the other way. I suspect they will be scoring a lot of punches even if Pacquiao doesn't land. Its an Arum card and benefits Arum's biggest cash cow which is Pacquiao. A Cotto win would get in the way of a Pacquiao/Mayweather showdown for lots of $$$$ dinero.

He will get robbed, Vegas wants to make money there is no bigger fight right now than pacquiao vs Mayweather that fight brings in so much ****ing money that Vegas will do what they have to to bring in that kind of revenue.

if Pacquiao losses on the cards that fight doesnt bring in the same kind of money, if Cotto wins on the cards that doesnt bring in money neither with a floyd fight.

Cotto is going to have to stop manny pacquiao or make it so clear that the judges need not even fill out their cards..

Not with the possibility of Pacquiao Mayweather being able to generate the GDP of a small country.

If Pacquiao destroys Cotto then this would easily be the largest fight of all time. I mean there won't have been a fight like this since Leonard fought Duran. Two guys in there prime with massive followings and it actually being a difficult fight to predict a winner.

I totally disagree about Cotto being possibly robbed if it goes to the cards...

I'm sure the best man will win.. on the cards or not !

I had Clottey beating Cotto...so when Cotto fights in New York should we always say that he'll be favored on the cards because of that ?

I would rather think that potential incompetence from a judge can play a role in the end, not him favoring someone...

The only saving grace for Cotto is that he carries enough clought to make for a big fight with FLoyd. It just wouldn't be Oscar Floyd big.

ts makes an excellent point. i'm now thinking theres no way cotto will get a fair shake imho. cotto will have to really leave no doubt if he wants a win via the cards. melvina lathan ,adalaide byrd or julie lederman better not be names i hear as judges in this one.
