I don't think there's much doubt Pac's legacy is greater than Floyd's at this point (7 division champion vs 4 division champion), even though Floyd is unbeaten and Pac is not.

But how much better is it? What is the proper comparison? Does Floyd need Pacquiao more than Pacquiao needs Floyd for a fight?

How much does each man's legacy change if they beat the other? If they lose to the other?

Who wins in a fight between the two?

Firstly, Mayweathers resume doesn't compare to Pacquiao's, period.

& the referee saves Mayweather somewhere between the 10th & 12th round, although in reality Mayweather isn't going to sign for this fight, or he'll make impossible demands in negotiations.

I think Mayweather still wins the head-to-head, even though I would root for Pacquiao. Too much natural size and reach plus PBF's great skills.

With Pac though, who knows? You can't discount him.

I think we've just seen that a natural size advantage doesn't mean a whole lot, especially when Mayweathers backing up & holding on for dear life all night.

It's a good point but PBF has about 5" of reach on Manny. Pac and Cotto had about the same reach.

Floyd is much faster than Cotto, as well, and much better at defense.

If they were the same size, I would favor Pac. But I think the size difference tips the scales to PBF. If they fight, I hope I'm wrong.
