Margarito made Cotto's face look like that, because he had loaded gloves.

Pacquiao made Cotto's face swell up and puff up in exactly the same way.

Margo made his face look worse. Once you've been cut and beaten to the face like that it's easy to do it again.

Pac beat the crap out of Cotto. Void will avoid Pac once again.

Pac fought, Haye ran like Hell! Haye had to sign options to win the title from the crooks.

Margarito only began cheating in the Mosley fight. Do you honestly believe that?

No it doesn't dispell it, but it does keep both options open.

Cotto looked much worse after the Margarito fight. Pacman is a big puncher at any weight. Remember how he made Oscar the Iron Chin De La Hoya puff up?

I have to say, while I'd like to give Margarito the benefit of the doubt, the reactions to some of his punches by Cotto really did look unusual, and they didn't look like they were thrown with full strength either.

What has Haye fighting the biggest boxing champion in history, and adapting his game plan with a broken hand got to do with Pac.

    I hate Noobs:-(

Well, it was ALWAYS ridiculous to assert that Cotto getting beat up in that fight somehow "proved" Margarito's gloves were tampered with in that fight - but boxing fans tend to adopt a lynch mob mentality and jump to conclusions without evidence.

I would say, however, that this fight surely provides more evidence of how ridiculous it was to assert that there is some way to "prove" that Margarito had "loaded gloves" from the condition of the other guy. It's nonsense, now proven absurd!

Wouldn't you say that Pac hits alot harder than Margo though?

I do think it changes things however. Though I still believe he had loaded gloves and would have beaten Cotto that night with or without them.

PacMan made pizza out of Cotto's face!!!!
Margo's beating was less brutal, same bloody, but less puffy and beat up!!!!!!!

At welter?? Probably not. Don't forget that Margarito is a BIG welterweight, while Pacquiao, despite his obvious power at the weight is still a small one. P4P clearly Pac is much harder puncher, but when you factor in the size difference, it has to be considered pretty comparable, and I think their results against Cotto show this.

I disagree, I don't think margo is a big hitter at all, he just wears you down. Then agian Pacs knock downs you never see coming.

I still think Margo cheated, I don't think it mattered that he did (still would have beat Cotto)

I understand healthy skepticism regarding the whole Margocheato thing but what makes you think that a guy that was willing to do it once didn't do it before?

I was thinking the opposite. Cotto's face was suddenly banged up within a short period of time against AM. Pac was hitting him for 12 rounds and it was an accumulation.

    I hope I am wrong.

Because there's no hard evidence to believe he did - and the procedures in Nevada, where the Cotto fight was held, are much more strict. The likelihood of being able to get away with something like this in a highly regulated state, with perhaps the best commission in the country, is in my view, extremely minimal.

I just hate the whole rush to judgment regarding Margarito. What he and his trainer did in the Mosley fight was wrong, but it doesn't prove anything about other fights. People - even boxing commentators, who should really be more responsible - act as IF it were proven fact, when it's not. That really bothers me.
