HATTON PROVED IT, DIAZ PROVED IT, AND NOW COTTO HAS PROVED IT... YOU CAN NOT FIGHT MANNY PACQUIAO ON THE FRONT FOOT!!

the man is a whirlwind with machine gun hands. you stand toe to toe with a man like that, speed will prevail and he will murder you!!

any views on the best way to fight pacquiao?

Sadly Mayweather style will be favor over Pac, he will run and run and dance and pot shot to a clear boring decision. He is bigger and has better reach than pac so he will have an easier time scoring.

I wonder if Freddy still stands by what he said in an interview before the Cotto fight, which was that Mayweather was the easiest one to beat out of Cotto, Mosely and Mayweather.

Sadly, it was actually when Cotto stood his groundand disrupted Pac's rythm with his jab and tried some body punching that he was successful. Cotto needed to jab and work on the inside, anything on the outside/middle was awfully dangerous territory. It was when Cotto started going backwards that he had little to no chance. He needs to get set and load up, but when he goes backwards he needs to stop. He can't mix it up (Paulie talked about this). If he used the jab, had some variety, and stood his ground while using that timing we saw in Round 1 he would've done better. More corner experience would only help. Truthfully, though, Pac is just the better fighter.

Not to mention, hitting Pac - off guard! Cotto managed to do it a couple
of times when he was running, but Mayweather does it better than
    anyone.

Pac is as tailormade for Mayweather - as Mayweather is for Pac though,
because they both have quick feet and hands.

I just favour Floyd, his defence is even more improved in his past
couple of fights, he has barely ever been hit - and his ring smarts
    are underrated.

Pac is a whirlwind though, blokes a destroying machine, but he did
get tagged today - and I think Floyd tags him all the way to a points win

Freddie is full of ****. If the fight don't get made, it will be because of him saying 60/40 for Pac. Cotto should have kept circling Pac to his right. He was doing fine when he did. Pac wasn't able to attack him much until Cotto circled to his left. This fight showed a weakness Mayweather will take advantage of.

PBF's reach combined with his counter punching, defense, footwork and ring IQ will lead to a win over Pac. PBF will keep a jab in Pac's face all night will circle and he will tie up Pac when he comes in fight off of it and repeat. PBF won't get caught bhy those same shots Cotto got hit with and Manny will be uncomfortable in the ring with him because one he's never seen a defensive counter-puncher before and two PBF won't go to war with him but will stick to his gameplan no matter what.

Both hatton and cotto were knocked down trying to bully pacman. they walked straight into a punch!! you simply cant do it... i think if cotto would have boxed like he did in the first and not lost his head, it may have been a closer fight. after he walked onto pacs left hand for the 2nd knockdown, he wasnt the same and never recovered.

i dont think floyd is tailor madefor pac. if this fight happens, pac WILL land that left hand, but floyd leans back and absorbs punches. i dont think pac would do any considerable damage to floyd.

1.) Pacquiao deserve the bigger cut of the purse because (quoting the commentors) Pac-Cotto broke May-JMM ppv.
2.)Cotto was also moving to his right aswell but Pacquiao was still cutting him off.
3.) What weakness are you talking about?

I been saying this for 5 freaking years. Even when pac was at SFW I was telling people he beats the likes of Juan Diaz or Castillo, people thought I was crazy...too big. Everyone had this stupid idea that to beat Pacquiao, you have to pressure him, ala Morales. Unfortunately these guys arent very good boxing analyst, they spout the same crap they hear from other people in the forums rather than studying the fight itself. Morales pressure never won the fight, his boxing skill and knowing when to pressure at exactly the right time won the fight.

Pac is too fast, too powerful, took akward, throws too many punches to ever loose a tear up. Only way he can be beat is by outboxing him...hence why I think PBF stands the best chance.

You're right, but you have to stand your ground.
