I'm a big Pacquiao fan and his win was great but that wasn't the same Cotto from 2007

It's really sad watching Cotto fight against Mosley and Judah and then compare that Cotto with the one who fought Clottey and Pac. I was somewhat skeptical about the claims that Margarito ruined Cotto, but after watching the Clottey and Pac fights, I really do think it's safe to say that Cotto just doesn't look like the same fighter from 2007. He just isn't as explosive with his punches and his left hook isn't as deadly.

One could say "That's because Clottey and Pac were beating up on Cotto" but I don't think that's true. Even if you compare the first couple of rounds of the Pacquiao fight with the first few rounds from the Mosley fight and you'll see that Cotto just doesn't like as good as before.

This is really sad. Makes me hate Margarito even more.

I don't think it was the same Cotto either. But PAC would probably beat the 2007 version as well.

Never EVER thought I would see Pac get in the ring with Cotto, let alone dominate him the way he did.... Wow! Pac is a true great.

Cotto ran the last rounds against Mosley too.
Why is this so hard to ****en understand. Cotto isn't damaged by Marg, he was at his most deadly at 140, not 147. Great welter but he's now in a competitive zone and can't rely on completely outmuscling his opponents like he used to. Manny spanked a prime Cotto, get used to it.

Of course the excuses were going to start, the problem this time is that Cotto actually looked really sharp at first so we know he wasn't shot.

Well ****ing said my man. Cotto got rocked by Torres and Corley at 140. Took some good shots from Judah at 147. Why it so hard to believe Pacquiao who is far superior to all 3 would beat Cotto lke that?

I agree, Cotto is far from shot.... I was really impressed early in the fight by Cotto, Pac's speed just took over.... I can't believe Pac was walking through Cotto's shots the way he did though, that I did not see coming.

Cotto is the same fighter as he was in 07. I also think that Cotto looked good in the first round,he has always been Vulnerable to getting dropped. No excuses for Cotto Pac is just the better fighter.

    Its just that simple.

Pac deserves major props for his win over Cotto.

Cotto imo actually looked sharp for the first 3+ rounds.......but unfortunately for him, he needed to fight a perfect fight to beat Pacquiao, and that just was'nt in the cards.....

Cotto just was'nt diciplined enough to stick strictly to boxing, which I had pointed out beforehand he needed to do against Pac......
.....Cotto found it all too easy to hit Pac for the first round and a half, that he started warring with Pacquiao.
You're just not going to win a fire fight with Pacquiao, he's too fast, has so much snap in his shots, and he has unbelievable stamina.

Credit Pacquiao.....Cotto tried to get back to boxing, but once Pacquiao gets into a rhythm, its a snowball effect and he becomes almost impossible to stop.

Pacquiao anwered alot of questions tonight as far as being able to take punishment from a true Welter.
Cotto dished it out, and the Pacster took it and answered back with a vengeance.

This was a great win for Pacquiao (the best victory of his career imo)

Plain, simple, and truthful.....Manny Pacquiao was tremendous!:deal
