    Thoughts?

    :think

I think it's UNDENIABLY true and I fully expect the poll results to reflect such.

    True.
Personally I'm tired of hearing and talking about Floyd. Boxing history has been made and the welters have gone at it non stop for the past two years. Floyd is a non entity in the sport. He may make big non meaningful fights but as far as the fights that matter are concerned I really don't think he's even in the mix of great fighters.

they both need each other the same...cause either Mayweather Jr fights pac or Mosley next....and the same for Pacquiao who really only has those choices.

the fight will get made...it will be 50/50 and it will be in may :smoke

It's abundantly clear that Floyd has TREMENDOUS talent, but I agree with you.

He never challenged himself. Pacquiao ALWAYS seeks out the best challenges.

That's the big difference. They are polar opposites in that regard.

True. Pac can always go fight Mosley and make a lot of $ and improve his legacy even more.
Since Floyd refuses to fight Mosley, what other options does he have?

Very true, espeacially because if the fight doesn't get made it'll be blamed on Floyd and Pac will come out looking better, also he has the better resume.

With Lampley saying the PPV will probably do well past PBF-JMM, there's just no way around it now: Pac is THE man in the sport.

Not only is tonight's win historic for Pac, but another huge group of people got to see him kick ass. His marketability is growing exponentially. Not to mention the 24/7 buildup.

The guy's a bona fide USA star now, and his fights are fan-friendly. It doesn't hurt, either, that he trains in LA because the Hollywood crowd loves him.

All roads lead to Pac, not to PBF.

I agree with every thing you've said except the part about it being in May, but you could be right. I'm betting they want to strike when the iron is hot. March.

    Winner takes Mosley in November.

If that happens 2010 will automatically become a very memorable year.

False. While both were active PBF was P4P #1 before retiring. In order to be the man you must beat the man.:deal

Won't it be Pac's last fight, then off to being a politician in the Philippines?

I won't vote. Because if both retired today you'd know the difference. Floyd needs Williams, Pac needs Shane. Even then Pacman is ahead.

I agree here, FLoyd can go on and still make big fights with any other fighter in that divison, retire right now as an ATG without him.
