    He got hit pretty hard with a left hook, ear very swollen.

    Swelled up pretty good. Probably from Cotto's left hook which was finding the mark.

    I figured Manny got his ear drained cause it looked bad after the fight.

    Ya, he had noticeable cauliflower ear.

    They get they're ears drained fairly often after fights, you don't want to look like a UFC fighter.

    Oh yeah, sh*t. He points at it, too. Very swollen.

    I watched the feed with Mario Lopez. Pure hell. I couldn't take it after awhile and went to the HBO feed.

    My understanding is that MMA fighters get those cauliflower ears from the rubbing and grinding on the mats. I didn't realize that boxers get their ears drained to avoid a similar fate.

    Its not as common in boxing as it is in MMA. I would get it drained immediately. That stuff looks nasty.
