Hardy's striking is crisp, and he has way more power than a drained Swick. (Swick looks like death at 170). With that said, there's no way he beats GSP. St. Pierre will take him down at will and break his spirit.

They've put Hardy in with guys that will stand with him in Swick and Davis and Markham, but he'll have to go through guys like Fitch and Kos at some point, so I won't get too excited until he shows that he can stay off his back.

If they want to keep bringing him up they should let him fight Alves or Johnson or Kampman and keep the hype going with stand up wars. I don't see any reason to think he'll stand a chance with GSP.

If I remember correctly, Davis didn't do much standing with him. Seems like he took it to the ground a lot from what I remember. Not saying that Davis' wrestling is anywhere near the level of GSP's. I'd like to see Hardy pull off the upset against GSP. He has the power to do it on the feet. Just wondering how long the fight will even stay standing

Both gets waxed by GSP. Rogan was just horrible calling that fight..That was a close close fight, Hardy landed the harder blows but he got tagged more he just had a better chin. Hardy also throws verry little in a fight.

GSP murders both at the same time

I thought Swick looked much better at 170 than 185; much like Vera at 205 rather than heavy. His body type is just long and lanky, he is just to small and to fight at 185, he's a bit soft there.

He doesn't, it's just a way of getting another name up there. I don't think he'd stand much chance against Kos or Fitch either, which is why he hasn't been matched with them before they can get him in a title match.

Fitch vs Alves was signed, but cancelled due to injury; had it been on nobody would suggest Hardy or Swick as a contender. GSP needs to fight somebody, nobody free is particuarly deserving, Hardy is close enough and is English. A lot of things had to line up just right (wrong?) for him to get a shot. Not a knock, I think he would admit as much.
