    Well.......

Having set my alarm for 3am and seen Foreman dance around Santos and force him to complain to the referee every three seconds - I was expecting a good chief support scrap before the main event.

Instead we got Chavez jr :-(

Is it fair to say that this kid is just a pretender - if he was brought up in the British system with area level titles, British/Commonwealth etc, how far would he go?

    Also.......

Which of the above British fighters from 147-160 do you reckon would take him?

What did you think of the comments made by the Sky team...... both in the studio and at ringside?

I thought he looked dreaful, took way too many shots, cant see him mixing it with the big boys at 160 to be honest, seen him quite a few times and he's never really impressed me. trading off his old mans name for the most part methinks

I'm a Pavlik hater but would love to see that fight - the myth would be blown away in about four minutes.

**** knows what Williams would do to him :patsch

Does anyone think he looks a bit fleshy..... I thought Watt was taking the **** when he said perhaps the 10st division might suit him, but I think with a bit of work he could probably make 147.

    He's limited.

Getting by on nothing but his old man's name.

He probably feels the pressure more than most to succed but he's simply not equipped to be a top level boxer. He he been called Jimmy Smith he'd be having a serviceable journeyman career. Not an option when you are a Julio Cesar Chavez.

    Shame

Chavez Jr is a light middle at the moment and had been shifted in front of Moore in the rankings so right now I would want Rhodes in with him.

I think unless Jr gets a straight shot at the belt he would fancy an elim against Rhodes.

Luke you **** I was wondering why nobody else posted on your thread :-(

I think he's trying to folow in his fathers footsteps... 80odd fights against Taxi drivers and road sweepers until he finally meets someone of the 'Greg Haugen' stature

I would love to have a beer with Haugen he is one funny mother****er

I dont really rate Jnr at all but you have to remember he had no amateur experience so I dont really mind him having had so many easy fights. He needs to step up though soonish and I think he will be beaten comfortably at decent level. Moore and Rhodes would dispatch him !

Having watched that fight last night, I honestly think I could beat Chavez Jr, and I have never even stepped in a boxing ring. He is that bad.

I'm going to contact his promoter and maybe they can use me to try and pad his record further, but I will knock him out!

he takes to many shots, at middle does not carry enough power his next fight should be back at light-middle and it will probably be against a blown up welterweight. he will get a tittle shot in the 2nd half of next year if his dad has a word with the wbc president ,although i think they may wait till 2011.

Brilliant line from Jim Watt during the fight with Rowland and Chavez

Adam Smith - Apart from Pavlik, Sturm and Sylvester hold the other two world titles at this weight, do you think Chavez is ready to step into the ring with them.

Jim Watt - I Would not even let him talk to them on the phone.

    Great line from Watt.

    :rofl
