What makes this victory so impressive is how good Cotto looked actually. DLH was shot so I questioned whether Pac was really carrying that power up and let me heart rule my head and went for Hatton. Hatton is past his best and offered no sort of a fight.

Cotto looked great, he won the first round and he was winning the third when dropped. He ripped in some great body shots and he kept his chin tucked in for the most part. He was quick, aggressive and it was back and forth early doors, but he couldn't hurt Pacman. Pac is a machine, he took anything thrown his way and fired back with harder, faster shots. He then started slipping punches and finding even more angles.

It was an outstanding performance from an incredible fighter.

he has been a level below since his lost to marg...those two pounds affected cottos power and facts are facts this cotto had slim to none chance of beating pac.....he is gun shy and is not a counter puncher...he had pac on the ropes and didnt do nothing...his right hand was sloppy and his left came in wide....congrats pac on the win but to say he the best of this generation is crazy....cotto simply does not have the mental to fight like he used to....once he gets hit he doesnt know how to react to the punches...

GTFO!! Cotto wasn't weight drained. Stop the stupid excuses. Cotto, once again, did the wrong training and the wrong fight.
He started good. but there were not combinations. Apparently he still expect people to bend when he hit the to the body. Wrong ****ing answer!!! He dominated Paquiao everytime he used the jab from the outside. But then, he started to stand in fron of MAnny without thowing punches. He needed to keep throwing because Pacquiao doesn't know what to do when you are throwng punches at him. But Cotto was waiting fo MAnny to finish so he could throw his punches. I saw it during training, and saw it during the fight. Cotto needs another trainer. NOT JOE, NOT EVANGELISTA. He wont learn anything else there.
Another interesting point is Pacquiao is training like boxer used to train 40 years ago. He is fighting at the weight he walks. All other boxers are training to make weight. Manny is training to fight. That is the big difference. Not because they are drained, but because Pac is in optimun condition.

I give Pac all the credit and I am a fan of both but when I saw the weigh in photos yesterday I thought Cotto looked drained I saw fight pics and he looked ripped and thin rather than his usual stocky build how much did he weigh unoficially he weighed in at 145 but what was he the night of cause De La Hoya was 147 then only rehydrated up to 149 and looked drained. I didn see the fight so I honestly cant say if he was drained or not I m just going by the pics Im gona watch it for myself when I get the chance

:patsch PAC deserves full credit considering where he was in terms of his evolution as a complete fighter that we see today. All great wins which is why he's unquestionably a top 20 ATG.

    Absolutely not.
Cotto looked his best condition wise & came in 100%.
His style just couldn't deal with Manny's, Bottomline.

Naw......Cotto is just a good fighter vs PAC who is a Great one. A great lil man beat up the very good and capable big man. Cotto prior to his MARG fight would have been KO A LOT Sooner.:good

Cotto would've be more agressive and ended things for himself by leaving himself more open to PAC's offense.

Cotto didn't dominate ANYTHING in that fight. Yea he landed the jab on ocassion but could do little of anything else b/c he couldn't figure out Manny's rythm. I was impressed with Cotto for making it to 12, I thought PAC was going to get him out of there by 9 or 10 which they could have stopped it then. But Cotto did well considering the vast speed disparity.

Well it's arguable whether he beat JMM at all, though I'll let that slip given he officially does have a win over him and I also think he won the first fight. However, Morales was past his best and evidently so was Hoya. You've been fooled into thinking these 2 victories are 'great' wins purely based on the names.
