i agree with that but...the world isnt much interested in mayweather vs hatton again.Floyd is the man and pac badly wants to beat the man.
I know the world isn't interested in mayweather/hatton, only Floyd and his fans are. And Floyd isn't the man, not even close, pac is a class above him.
Wow theres a lot of nutlicking on Pacman today huh? I'll give him credit- he absolutely wiped Cotto to the floor- but not to take away from the pacman- it was evident around round 9 that Cotto was fighting EXACTLY the same way he did with Margs in the latter rounds- it must've been a terrible experience of deja-vous for him, backing away and trying to pot shot......Obviously there's not much respect for Floyd in this forum but i can tell you since wacthing him in the late 90's, he will have a gameplan for Pacman..people dwell on Floyd's last 3 or 4 fights, fighters who aren't really the aggressive type (minus hatton.) Watch floyd fight guys in the early 2000's when they would go after him- if Pacman wants a phone booth fight he'll probably get knocked out..If he resorts to just boxing Floyd he's going to look stupid. Pacman is on a roll and deserves all the accolades thrown at him, but Floyd is all wrong for Pacman- he's the only guy 147 and under (and PW) who would absolutely manhandle this guy....
I agree...COMPLETELY. Manny is beating guys who stand right in front of him. Try spinning a guy that is no where near you to spin. Floyd has decent power. He hurt and knocked down Marquez. The fight with Marquez as embarrassing. Think about it, he outclassed a fighter that gave Manny HELL for 24 rounds. Come on, how can we even doubt Floyd. I know people hate him because of his persona but we should talk about boxing talent, not boxing personalities. He has fought the best. As of recent, we just want to see him fight Mosley, Margarito, Cotto, Williams and Pac. Remember that when he became "The man", all of these guys (except for Mosley) were up and coming or too small. Do your history. At then, Mosley dodged him. No matter the case, when Floyd destroys Manny, threads will post "Floyd was too good, The fight was boring, We knew he could beat Manny, If he would have stood ground and fought the fight would be different...etc" Floyd will dominate and then we will look for him to fight the winner of Jones V. Hopkins or Vitali.
floyd is not all wrong for any top welter. floyd is all wrong for 36 yr olds like Baldomir and Marquez or bloated junior welters like hatton, mitchell, or dead old stars like Oscar. PAc is all wrong for fraud. too much speed, courage, hunger, drive, violence. Pac and Roach want the fight. Pac will bring the Filippino millions, fraud will bring the couple hundred fans he has. the matchup will bring the rest. 50-50 or shut up. floyd is going to duck the fight. which is an admission of fear, ineriority and cowardice. HBO will protect fraud
We also forget to mention before the Marquez fight, Floyd offered Marquez 1 million dollars of step aside money to fight Manny now. Boxing haters have short term and selective memory retention.
Seems to me that your hatred for Mayweather is clouding your judgement! Pacquiao suits Mayweather perfectly - he'll counter punch him to death.
in all honesty, i cant see how this fight DOESNT happen....if hbo protect floyd, they are damaging their 'investment'...it will seriously harm floyds reputation if he doesnt fight pacquaio....and if he doesnt, it makes pacquaio the p for p king by default.... i dont think this is an easy fight for pacman, no way, no how..i much prefer the style of pacman over the intelligent, skillfull, surgical dismantling practiced by pbf...but pbf has a superb boxing brain and i reckon his 'style' gives 99% of fighters fits...this might be a ww version of hagler/leonard, an incisive, accurate counter punching mayweather being chased by an aggresive more one dimensional but more powerful pacman....(i thought, with the sound off, that hagler beat leonard by the way....)....it might not be a classic 'fight' but might be a clasic bull and matador contest...and i just have an inkling that althought the matador might make manny's baby bull look foolish over 7 or 8, at some point the bull is gonna catch, and hurt, the guy twirling in the cape....
Floyd will price himself out. He always makes excuses to not fight the best. His dad already saying he wouldnt fight him because he is on drugs.lol Isnt that the same exuse he is used for Mosley?
When Cotto was brawling with Pac he was getting banged up when he was on his bicycle and running away he was getting banged up but not as much Mayweather will be on his bicycle all night against Pac, and he is quicker than Cotto so i dont rule Mayweather out Matter of Fact Mayweather will find some way to UD pac im sure of tht
Interesting insight....it seems you know a good amount about floyd's history, so why don't you clarify why he fought those guys you listed??? Ok, so he destroyed everyone in the 130 and 135 classes--i dont think anyone would argue that...he called out all the usual suspects- Mosley at 135, Tszyu at 140, **** even Naseem Hamed who he said he'd fight him around a catchweight of 128...None of these guys wanted anything to do with him, so he decided to move on to greener pasteurs....He signed to fight the UNDISPUTED WW champ Judah, however baldomir shocked the world and beat Judah before FMJ could tep in the ring with him...So what does Floyd do? Instead of backing out with Judah, he still fights him, beats him, than beats the newly crowned WW champ (Baldo) in easy fashion...At this time, Cotto was still green and Pac was fighting at the 126-130 region.....He decided to make some big time money at that point, collecting >20 million to fight De LaHoya and Hatton respectively.....There is nothing wrong with fighting and beating a Junior MW champ and an undefeated, undisputed Ring Magazine champion of the 140 pound domain... Sorry i just wanted to clarify your post because you really made it seem like he went after tomato cans...If he ends up fighting Pacman (which i really hope he does,) i hope we dont hear any garbage like ohh Pac was teh smaller man, or Roach cherrypicked his last couple fights and gave him that false sense of confidence taking on someone as great as PBF is.....I take PBF in an extremely wide UD but dont be surprised if he ends Pac's night inside 8-9 rounds (i see him for some reason engaging pacman in a phone booth fight more than a run around the ring and pot shot all night fight.)
im impressed by pac he has won me over but this fight showed if you box pac you can beat him..n thats what floyd will do n then smother his work on the inside so pac cant get of with his punches...but pacs speed, southpaw stance and mr roach will make this interesting..very interesting
