Still hating on Roach????

What have you fellas got to say now?

In the build up to this fight, Roach was ridiculed by many because of his predictions, and his probing of Miguel’s corner. Arrogant, disrespectful, obnoxious, egotistical, delusional, were the labels being attributed to the trainer, as well as a few digs about his disease (classless *******s :verysad). Even during the weigh in, some of you quite amusingly basked in delight at Roach supposedly being intimidated by Santiago and Cotto’s appearance. “He’s gonna eat his ****ing words” you said, “OMG Roach looked like he **** himself” they gloated, insinuating his supposed delusional view of the upcoming fight.

Well now in the aftermath of the fight, it seems Roach’s words again have become reality. Manny matched him in strength and power (just like he said), Manny stopped him late on (just like he said), Cotto appeared lost without reliable advice from his corner (just like he said). Tthere were probably others too that I’ve not mentioned.

This is 3 times in a row now that he’s predicted exactly what will happen. Face it, he’s got the right to be as arrogant as he is, because the man knows his ****!

(PS this in no way is an attempt to kick Cotto while he is down. I’m a massive fan of the warrior, and last night it was very painful to see him take punishment like that. It invoked painful images of that horrible Margarito fight. I hope somehow he can come back from this.)

Yeah I completely understand that dude. His pre fight comments can't have been easy for the Cotto fans, even more so when they seemed to come true. But you have to give credit where it's due.

But again, I completely understand you hating the guy right now. It was painful to watch a great fighter and a great guy like Miguel take punishment like that

 

like i have said before....pacman will be pacman with or without roach.....had it been another trainer, he would have said the same thing...no trainer predicts anything but positive things abut their fighter...they make a good team, but but pac with another trainer he still is PACMAN, put roach with another fighter and you will have roach with another fighter....

 

Pacquiao won that fight, I don't remember roach saying anything strategic last night ... after the 4th round Roach was clueless - he thought that he was going to have to eat his words.

As far as me liking roach, if it wasn't for him there wouldn't have been no drama in the pre-fight hype.

 

Umm... Imagine how great Pac would be if Nacho trained him?

 

I don't like Roach, but he's a genius in the boxing world.

 

After the 4th round Pac had already knocked Cotto down twice. Their game plan was fully in effect

 

Roach told him to keep his distance and to use his footwork to go in and out. Roach was not the only one who knew the game plan, Buboy too. Buboy told Manny (in Tagalog) to give Cotto his moment and when he's tired give him the best of your arsenal.

 

I don't understand why so many people don't like Roach. He talks ****, but he does it in a more tongue in cheek, polite way. He is the man...he is definitely the man.

was I wrong about how i assessed his prediction YES...But i still dont like him....
