With all the BS that was dealt with during Pacman's training camp. He had Pacquiao in supreme condition. Well done.. History in the making!

pacquio will be pacquio no matter who trains him.
if roach was "god" he would have at least 1 more fighter thats half as good as pacquio....

I don't buy that. Roach is a key in Pac's success.

    Agreed.

Pac would still be a good fighter, of course, but he'd be nowhere near where he is now without Roach's strategies and training.

I am seriously fascinated by whatever the heck Roach plants into Pac's game plan that has him pulling off these incredible feats.

I see your point but id say wait and see what he does with Khan once he becomes his true brainchild after Pac's retirement. That could be an even further indicator of Roach's greatness.

I actually heard Buboy (or whoever that guy was in Pac's corner) talking a lot more than Roach during rounds. And Pac even wrapped his own gloves. So, Roach is great and all, but... Pac is Pac, no matter who coaches him.

Personally, I think he's done wonders with Khan so far. I've seen every single one of Khan's professional bouts, and before Roach he was getting beaten up by freaking Limond and Gomez. He was pretty much top tier domestic level, definitely not world material. This was proven once again when Prescott beat the crap out of him within seconds. If you'd told me then that Khan would be a world champ, I'd have laughed my head off. Now he's beaten Kotelnik (who is a solid world level operator, if not amazing) and has tightened his defence up, improved his strategies (working off constant movement, in-and-out rhythm, jabs and quick combinations) and is looking better than I've ever seen him.

Some people will say that he still won't ever amount to a dominating force, due to that chin, but I think we should wait and see. The point is how far he's come since he linked up with Roach, and I think it's pretty clear that he wouldn't be a world champion if he hadn't done so.

lol you serious, all the faults in cotto were found by roach, all the moves, combos that manny lands were given by roach, the techinique to handle someone huge like cotto (imcomparrison to pac), and techinues to not get trapped in the corner, all by roach.

roach always finds the other boxers weakness, the fight with oscar/hatton/cotto all of manny's boxing has been slighty different in each fight because roach has obviously given manny the outline of what to do and what not to do.

manny wouldn't be able to beat cotto without roaches help, maybe even hatton (as roach was the one who told manny to throw the wild left when hatton ducks).

Pac in a video interview was asked what makes him so successful. He says its because they study their opponents. You can spend so many hours training in the gym, but if your training for the wrong fight, its worthless. He compared it to studying maths if you've got a science exam, its a bit pointless.

This shows that its the gameplan, what they practice in the mitts to simulate in the fight that makes it a success. Pac for being able to pull it off, Roach for being able to create a good enough plan for Pac to pull off.
