First English fighter I can remember in a while using takedowns effectively, that was nice, I appreciate that most English fighters have better than average hands, but I don't want to see slightly better than average strikers putting on bad kickboxing matches everytime a Briton is involved. More importantly Kang is the quickest fighter in the world to get overrated, it's bewildering (it used to be because he was non-UFC, now I have no idea) he has a blackbelt but not a great ground game, a straight right but no overall striking game, and most notably good cardio but no ability to push through (lack of heart? Disinterested?). Flatly he just isn't as good as his fans think, so I'm glad I won't have to hear that he is until he would have inevitably got beat by the next guy.
Dude got smashed from the guard/the turtle. He's a jiu jitsu blackbelt?! He has support from Koreans mainly, I think. And he has a cool name.
Kang is a damn good fighter for a round he looked great vs Bisping and Belcher in the 1st round. Dude was always overatted due to the Pride days though.
What was up with Kang's guard? That did not look the guard of a black belt. That was sloppier than my guard, and my jits is terrible. I can't stand Bisping, but I must admit, that was an impressive way to come back from a devastating loss. He beat the absolute crap out of Kang in that second round.
Bisping did a good job escaping, or Kang didn't do a good job applying pressure, going for his own gnp, and really focusing on submissions, trying to go for superior positioning instead of dealing damage. I have to give Bisping the benefit of the doubt, I want to like him. If he keeps his mouth shut, and continues to have fights like he just did, he will grow on me.. For now, I'm not jumping on his dick. Slick defense on the ground against a guy who really wasn't trying to strike him, and it seems he had no recollection of getting knocked down by a right hand, which was a good punch but not a huge punch.. Makes me wonder what will happen the next time he gets hit with a decent shot.
Good techniqual BJJ skills are hard to come by when you are tired, hurt and Bisping is smashing you face in like last at the finish.
I gotta give bisping props for great ground defense. Kang couldn't do jacked on top. I hope he does get to fight wanderlei silva soon cuz i would love to see him KTFO again.
Yup and would test Bisping's chin we seen the Hendo KO and last night he was dropped earlier on and we know Nate loves his big right hand also.
