Look Macklin has done very well to get to where he is at I'm not denying that. Right now I think Macklin is ahead of Lee but he should be shouldnt he is what 3/4 years older and when we was Lee's age he wasn't as far as Lee is now in the rankings. Jim Watt said that Lee looks a different fighter when he takes the initiative to be the agressor and I happen to agree with that. Thing is we don't know how far Lee can go because we haven't seen how much he has learned and that will take time. I think that fighter last night was akward and in fairness that victory has made Lee climb the rankings. I think the future is bright for Lee as long as he keeps learning and fighting top 20 ranked fighters.

Nothing special at all, he seems to have a good left hook but doesn't offer much other than that.Poor defense, overrated power, ok jab, he's actually quite similar to Duddy - i would like to see this fight happen.

Paddy, we are never going to agree on Lee's power, dropping c-level boxers doesn't mean he has great power. If he hit as hard as you think then these guys would not be comming after him late on in the fights. We will find out soon enough when he steps up in class

before last night, i never thought Duddy would of had much of a chance if he met Lee in the ring. I think it would be a closer affair now, possibly Duddy's camp will have another look at Lee. Macklin must also fancy it

I interviwed Macklin prior to the Asikenin fight and he said that he would love to fight Macklin - I doubt he saw anything to change his mind last night

Now, now Patrick, I wasn't as negative as you make out - but Andy did take way too many left hooks to the head. Won't get away with that at a higher level.

I was a bit too hard on him 'cos I was just after coming out of Croke Park so give me a break!!!

Still think he has bags and bags of talent and can go far. I was impressed with the way he held at the end when in trouble, his jab looked excellent when he got into a rhythm (I was complaining to Paddy in the first couple of rounds when he was pawing a bit), and he actually nailed some good shots to the body too.

    B- performance.

hughes isnt a bad fighter...he might make it difficult for acosta for the first few rounds before acosta gets to him with the body shots
