    In tribute to the fight we saw the other night, where we saw Pacquiao gradually break down Cotto en route to a comfortable stoppage victory, let's discuss our favorite beatings in Boxing history. Here's my top 5.

    these aren't my favourite because I got anything personal against the fighters just the worst beatings I've seen

    Locche - Cervantes or Locche - Fuji. Severe schoolings rather than physical beatings.

    i have not seen the fight but most sources ive read had Cerdan ahead before he pull out with a should injury.
    not sure if thats true or not but i haread that a few times

    Cerdan wasn't ahead from my recollection, he got thoroughly manhandled by LaMotta after trying to rough him up early doors, hence the shoulder injury. He was behind on the scorecards as far as I'm aware.

    It was wasn't it? Torres doing what he did best against a slightly depleted version of a great fighter. Brutal. Still, you have to admire Pastrano's humour considering the beating he was taking.

    - "Do you know where you are?"

    - "Yeah, I'm in Madison Square Garden getting the **** kicked out of me!"
