    "Bob and me -- how often have we failed to make a big fight? How did Pacquiao-Marquez do versus Mayweather-Marquez? How did Pacquiao-Oscar do versus Floyd-Oscar?...Getting them together is a mega-fight that has to be made. We'd all have to be morons to not let this happen."

    Here's what HBO exect Ross Greenberg had to say;

    "It's a simple negotiation...There's so much money to be made. If it doesn't happen, there'll be a revolt. Nothing else is acceptable, and I'm speaking on behalf of the American public and the sport itself. All we can do is try to encourage both sides to sit at a table and hammer out a deal."

    This fight will definately get done within the next few weeks. I know there are a few confused boxin fans who will not like this, but most boxing fans will be hyped for this fight.

    This fight would do over 2 million buys easily. It might even break PBF-DLH.

    They need to split this 50-50. Both fighters should be guaranteed 25 million + ppv shares and lets get it on!

    hmm. Schaefer said "How did Pacquiao-Marquez do versus Mayweather-Marquez? How did Pacquiao-Oscar do versus Floyd-Oscar?..."

    I don't know about a few weeks. Seems like you're being overly optimistic.

    As a Pac fan I would like to see it happen at a catchweight so that his size disadvantage is not as significant. I think Roach will want the same thing. I don't know if PBF will agree to a catchweight or if Arum will just make it happen regardless. Also from Schaefer's comments here he obviously still feels that Floyd is more marketable than PAcquiao, something Arum will never concede.

    He's absolutely right. Making this fight is SO obviously the right thing to do for both fighters, the fans, and the sport itself that it would be outrageous if they were not able to put it together. This is one of those clearly necessary fights that HAS to happen.

    Hbo should just guarantee floyd and pac 25mil each. Don't even bother putting up a purse with a certain amount and make each fighter take a percentage.

    That's bull****. Pacquiao is now the WBO WW champion. If he wants to fight Mayweather(another WW) at a catchweight, then he should give up that belt. Mayweather is not that big. They both walk around in the low to mid 150's. Anyway, the fight will definately get made. There's way too much pressure from HBO for it not to happen. Schaeffer is doing the smart thing. He's not going to say anything that will make his fighter look less marketable than Pac. Mayweather was smart for fighting Marquez, because now there will be no real demand for a Pac/Marquez fight. Neither fighter has a comparable alternative.

    Only thing that doesn't sit well with me were those little comments he dropped about comparing PPV numbers.

    Makes me think Floyd and his team are still in dreamland regarding the purse split.

    No point for a catch weight, because Floyd doesn't baloon up in weigh like Cotto. The 145lb catchweight didn't even do anything to help Pac. Floyd and Pac are about the same size.

    There's going to be enough money to satisfy everybody directly involved in this fight. If/When this fight is signed, the whole boxing world will be the winner. Make it happen, people.

    why? Pac's last 3 weigh-ins are 142, 138, 144. Just cause he's beating bigger opponents doesn't mean that he's not at a size disadvantage.

    PBF is not defending any kind of title, which is what everyone was complaining about for the Cotto fight. I see no reason for this fight to be at 147.

    Roach said Pac is eating 5 times a day, and he still weighs-in at 144. They're having a hard time keeping the weight on
