I'm surprised you are even saying this. Do you realize Pacquiao has the same type of stamina and is stronger at WW than he did when he was fighting lighter. The guy has gotten major muscle mass in his legs which he uses to spring up and deliver massive punches, and his leg/foot work is even better than I could remember. How and why would you even mention catch weigth. You honestly dont sound all that confident that he would beat Mayweather, if you are, then that argument should be dropped. In a fight against Mayweather, even if the limit is at 147lbs, it doesn't mean Pacquiao has to come in at 147lbs, he can come in at 144 or 145, heck even 141 if he decides he wants to be more "mobile". Requiring Mayweather to come down to 147lbs would only benifit team Pacquiao and would look as an attempt to bring Mayweather anything but 100% physically, which would be a gateway for excuses from the Mayweather supporters should Pacquiao win. I say it again, it is clear that Pacquiao showed no signs that moving up affected his strength or mobility than a fighter like Marquez since moving up above 140lbs. If anything, he is looking stronger, more explosive, and durable than ever before. Its not like Mayweather would impose his size and strength on Pacquiao--we know Mayweather above 140 fights like a cat, and Pacquiao above 140 fights like the HULK, so I don't think Mayweather weighing in 3 pounds heavier than Pac would make any difference; if anything, it may favor Pacquiao for Mayweather to come in heavier than him, since Mayweather isnt' a physical fighter, in terms of mobility.

By the way, who gives a crap if Mayweather weighs 300 pounds between fights, he's a welterweight, Pacquiao is a welterweight, and Mayweather isn't Mike Tyson in the ring, he's a slick, defensive mind fighter who doesn't have the pop to take out Pacquiao. There may be a reach and height advantage for Mayweather, but squeezing 2-3 pounds out of him won't make his arms shrink, that is just something Pacquiao will have to deal with in order to prove he is the best.... Just like Mayweather would have to deal with Pacquiaos power and explosiveness.

Actually I eat 5 meals a day to drop weight, doesn't really amount to much. I do it to speed up my metabolism and drop weight. My point is unless you back it up with his calorie intake eating 5 meals a day doesn't amount to much.

if he is a legit force at welterweight then why fight a a catchweight?

come in below the 147lb limit. 144 and 146 are both within that. especially for legit welters.

Anything above 140 all the way to 147 is Welterweight. The commission doesn't give a damn about catchweights as long as you come in the limit you're supposed to and I can understand it if Pac and his team ask for a catchweight. His last four fights he has been going in the smaller man against extremely dangerous opponents.

first i have no problem with the fight at 147. but at this weight, pac will be handicapped more compared to floyd. i don't even give a damn about the weight and who is the champion. i just want an even fight where both fighters are almost within the same weight. it's not even a battle for welter anymore. 145 is the best catchweight.

how about if adamek fought heaviesweights and would only fight them at 215 or below? or maybe 205 for dramatic effect? that would be some coward **** right there. if you want to fight at heavyweight you fight there. all the way from 200lbs to whatever valuev weighs in at. eben though thats not the limit.

but 147 and under is welterweight and if you want to fight at welter fight there and dont demand that welterweight fighters weigh less and demand that they are wrong for fighting with thier respective weight limits.

best catchweights should never be mentioned until going from 175-200lbs.

pac wants to fight a welterweight in floyd mayweather why not fight the welterweight floyd mayweather and not anything less? why try and handicap youre opponent who you think you can beat by mandating him to fight a a lower weight?

You know you don't believe this. Roach already said Mayweather is small and weak. He also said they would be willing to fight Mayweather at 147. Mayweather is not the type of fighter to impose his size on his opponent. Not only that, but they are about the same size and Pac has already won two fights in dominating fashion at WW. Did I also mention that he's the WBO WW champion?

at 147, pac will be handicapped because floyd was naturally bigger. and it would not be a fight for the welterweight anymore but a fight between pac and floyd and their legacy. floyd would get more credit beating pac at 145 because it is close to pac's ideal weight.

I have the feeling FM jr will cause it NOT to happen right ff the bat.
He will whine about it HAS to be HIS way or no way. And I think Roach is to smart to fall for the money.

Pac does NOT need FM Jr to have big fights.
EVERYONE was talking about him and Cotto. All those Cotto fans will now watch Pac. Almost no matter who he fights next. So Pac can use that to his advantage. He can fight any 140 lb champion and make big money. Which would make FM Jr sweat. Pac just keep calling FM Jr out at 140 for a title fight.

It's a simple negotiation in my view

55/45. Winner takes home 55%, Loser takes home 45%. If the winner wins by KO, he takes 60%, loser takes 40%

Done. Incentive to fight better and incentive to knock the guy out.

1% for each fighter, 98% for poor children, sick puppies and the rainforests.

    Done.
