Pac is now above PBF all time regardless of the outcome of their future fight

Unquestionably. Pac is the greater fighter, and better P4P, but I'd still favor Floyd in an actual matchup.

Pacquiao has been ahead of Mayweather even before beating Cotto

If Floyd wins over Pac he is a better ATG then Pac. It is not like Floyd has fought nobody. He beat (undefeated) Hatton before Pac, and he he beat DLH before Pac (not yet totally washed up at the time).

If Floyd wins, he'll be the better fighter among the 2.

But based on how Pac's career has progressed, and how he continuously challenged himself once he got to the top, Pac would still be greater IMO. Floyd would be better H2H but in terms of achievement, impact to the sport and just for consistently doing better than what people expect despite always raising the bar compared to his previous fight, Pac would be greater. And unless Floyd does what Pac is doing by taking huge risks and coming out dominantly on top, I don't see it changing.

whatever your post is ******ed. so david diaz (washed up), de la hoya (washed up), ricky hatton (washed up), and miguel cotto (washed up) are raising the bar.:nono

beating barrera for a second time and morales for a third time is raising the bar:deal

if he had beaten nate campbell at 135 who was the undisputed champ at 135, and tim bradley at 140 then went up and beat mosley at 147 you could say he was greater then floyd but pac took the easist path and for good reason.

when he gets in the ring with floyd he will be torn apart literally.:deal

Yes, the TS is correct. There is little chance of PBF equaling Pac's record-setting 7 titles in 7 different weight divisions. It seems virtually impossible that Floyd will be able to match Pac's all-time accomplishments, especially when you consider that Floyd is two years older than Pacquiao and Floyd has an aversion to taking on legitimate challenges since he left the lightweight division.

IF Pac decides to give PBF a fight, and PBF wins (which I think he would), then the fight will probably be seen as a guy who started his career at 130 lbs beating a guy who started his career at 106 lbs.

It's a physical mismatch, much as JMM-PBF was. It only becomes a meaningful "legacy" fight if Pac wins. Otherwise, it's a carnival sideshow-type bout like the JMM-PBF tilt.

There's a lot of potential downside for Floyd in this fight and not much of same for Pac. Still, Pac holds all the cards (particularly if the Cotto fight PPV numbers beat out the JMM-PBF PPV numbers as expected) and it's up to him whether or not he wants to give PBF the opportunity.

I think Pac will take the fight. He'll fight anyone, and he'll make plenty of $$$.

fact remains pac cherry picked himself to a floyd fight. if he had fought campbell at 135, bradley at 140, and mosley at 147 he could have a case.

but he fought a washed up david diaz, a washed up hatton, a washed up hoya, and a washed up cotto:deal:hat

that's just the way it is.

when floyd fought corrales and castillo at 130 and 135 respectively they still went on to win titles afterwards.

look at morales and barrera all washed up. pac is going to face his first prime fighter in floyd and it is going to be a gatti like beating:deal

pac did not win 7 titles he did not win titles at 126 or 140. when he beat barrera at that time barrera had vacated his wbc title. and hatton didn't have a title since he did not want to defend any title he ever won at 140:bart

pac won titles in 5 weight classes like floyd and floyd never asked for a catchweigh to win a title.:deal

Pac was already higher before he beat Cotto. Last night just cemented it.

I have to agree , resume , p4p accomolishments .there is no denying the new living legend the immortal Manny Pacquio !!!

Only way for Floyd to erase any doubt is to beat Manny convincingly !!
