That is true. Whether it be at 147 and 145, Pac wouldn't be at any disadvantage physically. He showed he can come in lower than 147 and still be as strong as any 147-weighing WW out there.

Lets get this fight on. As much as I want Pac to win, I also can't wait to see Floyd get tested for real.

Catchweights arent the problem,..it when a challenger wants to fight a champion for his title but at lower weight! I have a problem w/that!! If u want a guys title at 147lbs then fight him at that weight. I don't think any fighter should be able to walk away from the ring a champion if the champion has to compromise his weight! Let the champion come in at his weight and the challenger if he feels he cant make that weight than he can come in whatever weight he's most comfortable!

I enjoyed the fight, but that was the only problem I had w/it! Cotto's title should not have been on the line at a contracted 145lbs. He's a 147lb champ & he shouldve been able to come in at 147lbs! That was all Bob Arum!!

Pac now has a 147lb belt that the champ had to come down to 145lbs to defend! Bull****!! If he plans on defending that title then he need to not ask the next fighter especially if its another welterweight to come down & fight for it. Make it a non title fight or give up the belt!! What if its another belt holder? They gonna unify welterweight titles at a catchweight??? Nah!!

Pac has a welterweight belt now so when & if he defends he doesnt have to come in at 147lbs, but he shouldn't expect his opponent to drain themselves anymore for that division!

Although I do think the 2 lbs wouldn't have changed the fight, it isn't about how "fair" it is that a bigger guy slim down. You want to move up, get to the weight or accept the designated weight. These fighters shouldnt be setting up weight parameters, but whatever, they've got the power to do so, so they wield it.

You don't need to tell us this. We know he won't fight at catchweight. He already proved that to us in the Marquez fight, when he came in 2 pounds over.

pac and pbf should fight at 145. that is better compared to pbf fighting jmm at 144. :)

i want a catchweight with a 1m penalty for every lb over the limit.

Yet making JMM go up to 144...then suddenly showing up at 147 with no intention of making 145 and changing the terms of the contract last minute is not?

floyd would have no need for a catchweight because he do not honor it in the first place and would like to have a huge size advantage over pac come fight night. look at what he did to jmm.
