Post of the Year right there, my man. Great work, and same with the person you quoted. That says it all.

Mayweather needs Pac (plus a couple more names) to cement his place as a bona fide ATG.

With or without Mayweather on his resume, Pac is already considered an ATG in the eyes of many.

In saying that, a win for Pac could possibly put Pac's name up there in the G.O.A.T. stakes, for future generations to argue about.

So there is a lot riding on it for both fighters.. but Mayweather needs this fight more as it will hurt his legacy if he doesn't take it.

Absolutely Floyd needs Pacman more now. Pacman is building his legacy and Floyd has not. If Floyd cares about his legacy he has to fight Pacman. If he beats Pacman he will take some of Pacman's legacy and he will become a legend like Pacman. And I do think he might be able to outbox Pacman.

I'm not so sure that's true.

Pacquiao is praised for taking on great challenged whereas Floyd is criticized for avoiding tough challenged.

Except unlike titles, p4p has always been subject to change by opinion and not necesarily swap around the as Hatton would have you believe. Floyd did nothing for 2 years, you cant do nothing for 2 years whilst another climbs the ladder and still expect to be viewed as the best. There's a new king in town, long live the king!
