Pretty Boy won the Golden Gloves and an Olympic medal as an amateur, as a pro he has won 40 fights out of 40 bouts, he is a 5 weight World champion {weight hoping doesnt mean much to me - cleaning out and dominating a division is just as impressive if not more so than weight jumping}. If Pretty Boy fights Pacman, I would expect, just like most of the experts, for Pretty Boy to win, that being the case where would Pretty Boy and Manny rank in ATG lists ? I currently rank Floyd higher than Manny, Manny already has 3 loses and 2 draws on his resume {loses do count when evaluating boxers} if Floyd beats him head-head as I expect, Manny will need binoculars to see Floyd on my list. If Manny pulls off an upset he may just about overtake Floyd on my list.
ur trippin homie....I am a huge fan of Floyd's and i rank him in top 50ATG towards 45-50....I rank Pac right there with him...I believe a victory for either of em shoots one above the other for obvious reasons... Pac beats Floyd than Pac HAS to be ranked above him and the same can be said for Floyd man
It goes like this: Pacquaio - choose his ranking Then if you are a Mayweather fan: Add 75 places for your fighter Calzaghe fan: Add 175 Klitschko fan: Add 200
totally agree I have floyd top 20 he beats pac he moves in to the top 10. he beats mosley/berto winner and unifies 147 he is top 5 atg. he moves up and defeats the pavlik/williams winner at 160 he is the greates of all time:deal pac is around top 40-50 only has 5 title defenses which shows cherry picking. never dominated any weight class he has been in besides 122.
Floyd beating Pac makes him top 10 ATG? My god, can you breathe at all with Floyd's balls that deep in your mouth?
let's just consider ourselves to be fortunate to have witnessed what both guys have accomplished in this generation first hand. let history be the judge of that. we'll see in the years to come.;-)
this is ridiculous and painful to read. i try to respect all posters on the forum but posts like this make it difficult
While trying to be honest and true to the criteria (dominating weight classes) then of course Floyd (top 5 all time @ 130) than Manny. Now if Manny beats him head to head (I don't think he can) and choses to either dominate 140 or 147 (which he very well can) then he will be very high on the all time (much higher than Floyd). Of course if Floyd beats Manny and cleans out 147 (which he could do but probably won't) then there is no way you can keep him out of the top 10 all time.
I love Floyd but he is way below Pacman in ATG rankings. PBF beating Pac will not make him a top 10 fighter..Unless he becomes active and starts whooping Mosley, then collects a junior or middleweight belt against a top champ.. Pac can actually safley retire right now with legacy intact. People can argue what they want but Pac is well deserving in the top 10 ATG right now.
