after seeing pac sucessfuly defeat cotto, have to say, still thikn mayweather beats him, although it will be a tough fight for mayweather. the main problem cotto had was that he couldnt deal with pac's speed. mayweather is was faster then cotto and has the defense that barerra, morales, marquez, hatton, dlh, and cotto didnt have. it gonna be great offense vs. great defense but overall gotta favor the defense

Does'nt change my mind one way or the other.

My stance has always been that Pac will get thoroughly outboxed by Mayweather.

.....and unlike JMM, Mayweather does'nt get into exchanges, so there will be no knockdowns in this one unless its Pacquiao walking into a Mayweather shot and onto the seat of his pants.

Boxing diffuses Pacquiao.......Cotto who I consider only a good boxer proved it for the first couple of rounds.

ya same here i think mayweather still wins and is the safe bet but makes it a lot more interesting for sure and gives mayweather something to think about how the hell could it not

Yes, Pac is definitely explosive and fast enough to pull of a decision.

What changed is my perception of how Manny would react if he got caught by Mayweather. Initially, I thought that Mayweather would be able to seriously hurt Pac if he caught him flush, but after seeing Pac take those huge shots for Cotto I don't think Floyd would be able to KO Pac. Floyd wouldn't risk going on any sort of sustained offense considering how hard Pac punches and how safe Mayweather plays it. He'd be content to try to outbox Pac into a UD (same as he did to Marquez).

But having said that, if Pac is willing to eat a few punches coming in to mount his tremendous offense against Floyd, who knows, Pac just might be able apply sufficient pressure to catch Mayweather with one of his weird-angled punches and make Mayweather real uncomforable.

My head still says Floyd UD but I'll go with my heart on this and say that after this fight, I think Pac just might be able to pull it off.

This. Floyd Mayweather lacks the workrate of JMM to be able to outbox and outpoint Pac through 12 rounds.

No, mostly because when Cotto boxed from the outside, used his jab and countered - he was a good match for Pacquaio.

I think Floyd has a better chin, I know he has far better defense and he's a far faster fighter than Cotto - I think Cotto reinforced my opinion that Floyd wins.

but the thing is mayweather can still hurt pacquiao despite not hittting as hard as cotto. cotto was landing leather on pacquiao but not as consistent as mayweather would hit him due to mayweather superior handspeed and accuracy.

I was shocked how Pac took cottos best shot. Incredible. In some rounds, pac was able to walked through cottos punches.
