Shane Mosley hasnt fought in a year which pisses me off. I would give it to Pacman.

There isn't really a definitive number 1, you could argue for any of them.

Mosley isn't very active and lost to Cotto, but destroyed Margarito and had a handy win over Collazo.

Pacquiao beat DLH and Cotto (who beat Mosley and Clottey) at the weight.

Floyd hasn't fought any top fighters at the weight for some time (if ever) but is clearly one of the most able at the weight. Though its pretty difficult to make a case for him based on who he has beaten at the weight and when.

I'd say Mosley, and more so if he wins against Berto, since that's the closest WW fight involving the top guys.

There is no decisive #1 ww at the moment imo. That can only be decided if and when these guys all fight one another.

There both number 1. As Margo beat Cotto, Cotto beat Shane, Shane beat Margo, Pac destorys Cotto.
    Actually Floyd is number 1

    Pacquiao.

Mosley had a great victory over Margacheato, but he didn't have rocks in his gloves like he did when he bludgeoned Cotto.

FLOYD IS NOT NUMBER ONE HE HASN'T FOUGHT A TOP WELTER IN AGES.

    Pac easily dominated Cotto.

Not saying Pac would beat Mosley, but I think he deserves the top spot off that performance. I rank off accomplishments not the future.

I don't even know if Mayweather can even say he is third. He has never fought a prime winning welterweight in his life of his era, potentially, Mayweather may be the best, but so might be the guy down the street, we don't know, neither of them enter the ring against the prime winning welters of their era

I have to say Mosley. Pacquiao did beat Cotto at a catchweight and not at the maximum weight limit. If he wants to be the #1 WW, fight Mosley with no catchweights involved.

THIS IS NOT AN EXCUSE (if you look at some of my other posts I gave full credit and praised Pacquiao for his victory against Cotto). I'm just saying, if you want to be considered the true champ at WW, do it within the allowed weight limit.

using your logic would imply that margo being the man at welter was beaten by mosley who was previously beaten by cotto who in turn just got beaten by pac.

    so that would mean...
