if he thinks that, good for him.. It isn't going to happen. He's never fought anyone like Pacquaio. Unlike all of the slow old, flat footed opponents he's been fighting, Manny isnt going to stand around and let him potshot him to death.

(Didn't an old Oscar De LA Hoya take Mayweather to a split decision?)

    - Floyd fights southpaws different then orthodox fighters. He can't use a lead left hook on a southpaw (his best weapon). He'll have to rely on straight right hands and fighting a more orthodox fight like he did against Judah. In that case Manny will tear him apart.

    - Floyd can't outfight Manny, cant outbrawl him, and probably can't hurt him. Sure he can outbox him, but can he do it for 12 rounds and not get tagged or hurt? No.

    - Manny's style will give Floyd problems. Shoulder roll defense won't be as effective. Pac throws in combination and from every angle, and he's a deadly puncher.

    - Pac gets better and better and more unpredictable with each fight. He's a physical freak, and by the time he fights Floyd he'll have settled into the weight even better.

    - Again, Floyd hasn't fought anyone like Manny. Manny is a completely unorthodox fighter, there's no one like him. You can't train for a guy like him. There's no sparring partners who can prepare you properly for a Pacquaio fight.

    - Last but not least, Floyd is guy who's never ever been taken into deep waters. He's never had to show any real guts or character. He's had some decent fights, but he's never had to dig deep down. Pacquaio will make him dig deep and force him into a fight.

Well said, Manny should be the favourite. Now lets hope this fight is agreed soon, so we can see how good your analysis is:bbb

The same can be said for for Manny, where will he find someone with a defence and counter punch like Mayweather?

Floyd wouldn't beat Manny easily or KO him, but he can definitely hurt him.

I don't think any schooling or any blowouts will happen in favor of Floyd or Manny. Not at the level these guys are operating.

Sure PBF has never fought anyone like Pac. But you can say the same for Pac man as there is no one out there as slick as mayweather. Sure Pac is the man and looked great on weekend, but i am still not sure how he would go about tackling mayweather as he would change as the fight goes on.

Also Although pac hits hard, he does not hit as hard as i thought. The only punches that would hurt floyd would be the punches that he didint see, and with his reflexes i cant see this being too many throughout the fight. Its a tough fight for both but i see PBF winning on points.

Also sayingPBF have never been taken deep into the waters...... Ask yourself why. It would be easy to say because he takes easy fights but its actually becsuse he makes such a brutal sport look easy.

This is a fight i cant call.

Look what Floyd did to Marquez, and Marquez is pretty much even with Pac. Nuff said.

marquez was bloated. And Manny PAcquaio isn't marquez. The "A beat B, so A beats C" argument never works.

using your logic though... Hatton took Floyd a full 10 rounds, and DLH took him to a split decision. Manny raped them both, so what does that tell you? Nothing. It means nothing. Styles make fights.

bloated marquez where the bigger guy couldnt even finish him ?? hahahaha marquez fought a drained pac. dont get carried away. those are facts. pac obliterated bigger guys. go figure. pac wont chase the runner all the time. and he can stop in the middle ala cotto fight and fans will boo floyd trust me . then floyd have no choice but to engage. boom, ko ! LOL

Yeah, I'd still favor Floyd a bit in this match-up. Cotto spent a lot of time squared up on Manny. Floyd just doesn't do that. This is a whole different ball game. Manny is the greater fighter, but Floyd is and always will be the better boxer. Manny's never faced anyone that skilled. And he'll be fast as hell on top of that skill. Manny's not a poor boxer anymore. He's a very good boxer now. But he's still not on Floyd's technical level. I'm not saying he wouldn't have a chance, just that I'd still favor Floyd slightly. I think it would be a great match. Master offense with master defense.

People keep forgetting that the persona that Floyd displays isn't Floyd. If you believe you can be so successful by clowning around you're a tool

Yep, the best offense against the best defense sounds about right to me. I'd favor Floyd slightly too but I'll be rooting for Pac :bbb
