This proves Pac is better than Duran/Hearns/Leonard/Hagler

The **** are you talking about. Duran lost against these bigger guys but still gave them hell (except Hearns). Hagler is a middleweight for ****'s sake! Duran still went 15 rounds with him.
Duran has 70 KOs with over 100 wins. We all love Pacquiao and all but keep it ****in real.

 

Of course those guys would have beaten Cotto, but two of them were natural welters, one was a natural lightweight and one was a natural middleweight. Would Duran have beaten a light heavyweight that was on the same level as Cotto? Probably not.

Anyway, the head to head comparison doesn't really work since Pacquiao is naturally a much smaller guy than those fighters.

On the other hand, the # of belts argument doesn't really work either. It's about the competition that was beaten and where the fighter was at the appropriate stage in his career when he did so.

I haven't done a real close analysis yet, but at the very least, Pacquiao is clearly above Hearns. He's probably a hair ahead of Leonard, about on par with Hagler and a hair behind Duran, but all of that is really semantics at this point. And based on what was seen this weekend, I suspect a lot of people would pick Pacquiao to beat Duran head to head at welterweight.

 

Nonsense. Leonard is a better fighter, with a better resume, whose four biggest wins were fighters that would stand Manny and any of his opposition on their heads.

I rank Pacquiao above Hagler and Hearns...However, Leonard and Duran are still greater. A win over Mayweather would level up things.

he didn't give them hell. Hearns starched him like he was beating on a little kid, and SRL absolutely toyed with him and humiliated him when he decided to fight using his own style instead of Duran's. Benitez had absolutely no problems with him and the Hagler fight? He gets all these props just for not getting knocked out by Hagler? The dude hardly EVER made the LW limit even when he was a lightweight, came in about 5 lbs over about half the time.

Duran is the second most overrated fighter in history, next to Pryor.
