Watching his highlights, it sort of looks like he slaps a little bit with his punches. He seems to sometimes get his body weight into shots but other times it looks like arm-flinging slaps. You just revealed a secret that everybody already know. There is a reason why he is so featherfisted.
Obviously it wasn't a secret then. Everyone knows he doesn't have the best power, and sometimes technique can improve/enhance this but as the motto goes "Punchers are not made they are born."
