Both camps do not want to chase the other. It's all a game at this point. I think the fight is going to happen, but we're going to have to wait out all the charades

Well if you're a pac fan with no agendas then that's fair enough to me :good , i got no problems with fans of other fighters who judge Floyd in a respectful manner without the silly slurs and disparaging comments directed at him.

If you ask me, Pac is now in the position to be challenged. Let Floyd step up to the mic. and make it happen.

This is THE fight right now. It would be a shame if it didn't get signed.

That's the burden of having such immense talent/ability, more is expected of you. I'm not saying he didn't at all challenge himself after Castillo, but the truth is that he took fights against fighters when there were even greater challenges out there. The fighters he fought all had glaring weaknesses that meant he knew there was no realistic chance of beating him. He knows no one about his size without the ability to make up for it can't beat him(Hatton, Mitchell), or without the mentality despite the skills(Judah), without the speed/versatility(Baldomir). The Marquez victory was impressive and showed he lost nothing, but it went as expected against a man who wasn't even fully adjusted to 135.

Floyd, at welterweight, needs a fight against a threatning opponent with a very good chance to beat him. A fight where he's not heavily favored to win and his opponent has all the tools to do so. He has proved his ATG status from 130 to 140. Now he needs the fights to prove without any doubts his ATG legitimacy at welerweight. That's all he can do and, haters aside, all he has to do.

Besides Margarito I didnt see too many other huge challenges. Paul Williams was unproven until beating Margo, but he was never going to stay at welter too long he was too big. He tried to make a fight with Mosley, so who else was there realistically? I dont really blame him for fighting guys like Hatton or ODLH, those were big money fights, but I cant see Floyd fighting a guy like Clottey for small money when he could fight Marquez. There has to be some reasoning behind it. I think he feels slighted because he kind of went through all this making his way up the ranks and now feels he should only take the big money fights.
I remember everyone wanted him to fight Corrales, because Corrales was a monster, but he one sidedly destroyed him, and everyone used the weight issue as an excuse, but realistically, the weight didnt mean much at all. Floyd will take the fight. Especially now saying all he wants to hear out of Mannys mouth is that he wants it.

    Ummmmmmm ... what?

I think you kind of improvised a bit there with that quote? Unless you've got some sort of fantasy involving Mike going out?

Yeah, but Floyd didn't, so why are we bringing that up in this thread?

I didn't particularly like Floyd's points in this clip, but he sounded about as composed on camera as I've ever heard him. This wasn't a "BK is pissing me off with facts" or "oh sh*t, Shane means business" Floyd, he was just sitting there and speaking his mind.

Nah he did, but I'm pretty sure he meant it euphemistically.

I believe it was "I'll eat your ******* alive, you ******."

Well I was just confirming that Tyson did say it. I wasnt following your arguement, but I agree, his comments in the clip were a bit strange. If its an easy fight, why not go with the flow and build Pac and the paying audience up to make it an even bigger event? More money for him really.

I think hes overall just a little frustrated in the fact that Pac is now getting a lot more credit and attention for the fights he already went through. I dont think Mayweather could have done much more to make a huge difference in the eyes of the fans. It also has a lot to do with his arrogant attitude which has turned fans against him (me included), meaning unlike a guy like Pac, if he wants to talk all that smack, he better do a lot more to back it up. Pac talks no smack, and delivers it in his fights. RJJ went through the same thing and lot of the fighters that he supposedly ducked and were going to kill him turned out to get beaten soundly by lessor opponents, so alot of its just hype.
