I've been saying for a long time (not on this forum obviously) that Pacman would be a great matchup for Floyd because of his speed and power. Now that he has some good footwork to go along with that, I really think he has a shot against Floyd.

As much as I don't want to see Mayweather reach that number 1 p4p position and have all the bragging rights in the world, it does seem like a fight that needs to happen.

Now Cotto is "RICKY HATTON" when before Cotto was NO Ricky hatton or the version of DLH that PAC faced? Ah....make sense now.

I agree! Fight needs to be made. But win or loose there is only ONE fighter who is the best of ths era....and that title belongs to PAC based on who he faught, his dominating perfromances and his willingness to put himself at a disadvantage against larger men in order to build a longstanding legacy in his profession. FLoyd stylistically would probably win a decision, but it would be a tough fight for FLyd.

Floyd along with James Toney are the BEST boxers of this era without a doubt but the BEST FIGHTER....that is PAC without any doubt.

If Floyd Mayweather beats Manny Pac than Floyd is THE BEST OF THIS ERA...I MEAN SAY WHAT U WANT ABOUT HIS COMPETITION BUT IF HE FIGHTS AND BEATS THE BEST GUY ALONG WITH EVERYTHING ELSE HE HAS ACCOMPLISHED THAN HE WOULD HAVE BEATEN "THE BEST"

THE SAME FOR MANNY....IF MANNY BEATS FLOYD THAN NOBODY CAN SAY ANYTHING REALLY..MANNY WOULD BE CONSIDERED THE BEST...

Floyd CAN'T be the best without having a resume that matches the greatness he is known to have. He's natrually talented....one of the greatest talents boxing has seen. But he has or lacks substance regarding his resume. Beating PAC would be his greatest win....but ONE GREAT WIN doesn't make you the best of your era. What PAC has done warrants that. Facing the best....always looking for bigger, harder challenges ect.

Floyd doesn't have that in his DNA. He's got money running through his viens! He looks for low risk high reward fights. And he's good at it. Beating Manny is about "HOW YOU LOOK DOING IT".

Floyd can beat ANYONE by using his speed, height, reach and reflexes to avoid any sign of "RISK". Look at the JMM fight! He could have or shuld have gotten Juan out of there. THe smaller, slower and older man had no business int here with Floyd who is bigger, faster, younger and stronger. But he got a lot of Money!

Against the #2 P4P guy.:patsch Floyd I would say beats PAC but he does so in a way to avoid a real fight and keep his undefeated record. Floyd is not concerned wth giving boxing meaningful moments. He's looking to make money and do for himself. Which is fine...its just a waste of talent.

No one can say anything right now...MANNY IS THE BEST. But being the best doesn't mean you are unbeatable. Manny can be beaten and Floyd's mentallty and style would probably be enough to get a points win. But given the fact that Manny is smaller and Floyd is hard to bait into a real fight, his win will be looked under a very skeptical eye by most.
