That argument would carry more water had Duran beaten up and stopped at least one of champion opponents at WW, like Pac did. He got what to me is a questionable decision against SRL, who was doing his best Duran imitation at the time and by your logic that fight doesn't even count anyway. He got beat by Benitez, got stomped on by Hearns.

:nono Notice you mentioned a later date than the Prime Duran I was talking about,the Duran who fought Leonard in Montreal was very fast and not far behind Manny in the speed department. After Montreal Duran was Hot and cold but even when he was hot his speed was never what it was.

 

The difference is Judah seems to get tired late in the fight. Clottey never seems tired, he just doesn't go for the victory like he should. Judah is much better, imho, at 140 than 147.
