Chavez Jr.'s opponents?, seriously we know he doesn't have an amateur record and I remember people shitting on Valuev for the same move but Valuev eventually stepped it up and got robberies, this tomato can needs robberies against the nurses he's fighting now.

His last opponent, is he his father's hair cutter?, maybe a surfer from Arizona?, what is he?, he sure as hell isn't a boxer. The guy doesn't even know how to punch and he was landing on that tomato can. I know his father said his son needs 313 more fights to be ready and get a professional gold medal or something but do they even plan to step up before that?, I know he's struggling against the organic fruit juice sellers that he's fighting now so they're protecting but why the hell would he be before the main event?, that was an insult not only to the main event but the entire event. And you thought Mathew Hatton put me to sleep, I nearly saw the grim reaper watching this joke exchange street punches with whoever he was fighting.

Explanation desperately needed. I know Freddy Wak is going to come in and tell me his opponent is an ATG in his backyard, I respect that Mr. Wak but your backyard means nothing to me, it might mean legacy, future and hope to Kurk and Bazooka's children but to me the sewage they feed the trees there mean more. Anyone else?

good post scar. chavez jr is a horrible fighter whose riding his father's coattails, and legacy, into the ground. he shows zero promise, is barely passable as a fighter period and if he steps up against...**** it, not even step up but fights ANYONE with an ounce of talent he loses. well, loses on the scorecard.

Going into the fight, Chavez carried a 40-0-1 record. In the pre fight, Chavez clamied how he wants world title fights etc.

Troy Rowland was 34 years of age, and to his credit held some half decent wins, but nothing more. He was medicore at his best. He also reportanley was 3-time Michigan Golden Gloves Champion (1998-2000). For what it's worth.

I understand Chavez had no amature fights, so he is still learning as he goes along, but he is now a 40 fight veteran.

I was expecting Chavez to dazzle, on argubaly the biggest event of the year. He done anything but.....

From the start, he looked pour. His defence was extremly leaky, he was easy to hit throughout the fight, his punchers at times lacked snap, and for stages throughout the fight he didn't look interested, and it was just a weak and pour performance all in all.

There is talk of fights with the likes of Kelly Pavlik next year, a fighter of Pavlik's caliber would hurt Chavez Jr, like virtually all the top 160 fighters would.

He still has alot of maturing and learning to do, before he can even talk of title fights.

It's pretty sad to think that there are fighters out there like Choi Tseveenpurev and David Lopez who I feel are better all round fighters than Chavez Jr, but both can't get a fight for the love of money, and can't get no exposure.

But yet Chavez Jr can get all the chances in the world due to his second name. It's sad but true.

I assume him and Ireland's John Duddy, will happen in the future. Duddy was a world class amature, and is tough and game. But I don't see nothing special in him, I always felt he was overrated.

Him and Chavez would most likely sell alot of tickets and it most likely be a entertaining tear up. It's a pick em fight. But I don't see both ever being world class fighters.

Chavez Jr is painfully slow - like a 50 year old version of Margarito...and calling him mediocre is an insult to mediocre fighters.

the guy wouldnt even be british champion over here, mathew macklin would tear him apart, he reminds me of that other turd mathew hatton, geting all these chances cos of his name, when both are really nothing special and should be fighting in small arena's earning there money, thats one of the reasons both of them are not hungry fighters they have had everything given to them, and have had all hand picked opponents

I wasn't too happy when I found out Jr.'s fight hadn't happened yet when I started watching the undercard. It sure made me appreciate Pac and Cotto even more, though

You gotta give it to his handlers, they are milking this train well. To think, he actually headlines PPVs.
