cotto didn't lose, manny won. anyone who doesn't give manny credit for this victory is a ****ing moron. the people who voted cotto's mental weakness or green corner, etc. have no clue what they're talking about. cotto came into this fight in the best shape of his life and he fought the best he could. the fact is that manny is an absolute monster and i would pick him to destroy just about anyone at this point. cotto is still a great fighter and i fully expect him to become a champion once again. he lost to an ATG. so ****in what?

watching it for the umpteenth time

it looked like Cotto was discouraged after the 4th, even though it looked like he may have won the 5th it was evident that Cotto realized he cannot bully Pac and knew he was not going to win this.

"Mental weakness'' ...Give me a break. Please. Better yet, give yourself a break. You're inviting people to mock you.

    1. Pacquiao Handspeed
    2. Pacquiao Power
    3. Pacquiao Footwork/Lateral Movements
    4. Pacquiao Punch Angles
    5. Pacquiao Punch Resistance (he ate the best body shot cotto gave, but pac just ignored them)

    6. Cotto's corner (jab, jab, jab? WTF Joe! You should have stopped the fight at 9. You just ruined Cotto's career!)

Hats off to Cotto. BIG HEART!!!

    the game plan.

just like hatton, they thought the way to beat pac, was bullying him and showing your stronger. The problem with this is, that pac is too fast to be dominated with aggression and strength.

the recipe for beating pac, was outlined by marquez. Make pac over commit and lunge in and then counter. Thats also the reason why i see mayweather being the one to beat pac.

This....Cotto for some reason fought Pac's fight in the middle of the ring and tried to brawl against a much quicker volume puncher. Had he stuck to the jab and fought like he did in the first couple rounds, the outcome might've been different. Pacquiao can be outboxed and that is the key - this is why I still believe Mayweather will beat Pac by UD.

cotto lost this fight because he no longer is that beast that would stalk you and go thru your punches...his punch resistance is gone after the marg fight similar to the way that mosley knocked out marg cuz his punch resistance wasnt there after eating bombs for the first seven rounds of the cotto fight....he is menatlly scarred and i think that everytime some leather lays on him he actually becomes scared...i love cotto but he needs to retire after an awful showing against jennings and clottey and a awful but brave showing against pac who he did nothing to but be a punching bag...pac was open all night and he didnt throw punches....

cotto could have had any cornermen and he would still have lost just as badly. pac is on a different level to cotto in every area that's why he lost, and that goes for every other boxer too, with the exception of mayweather. pac has lost maybe 1 or 2 rounds in his last 4 fights and there's a reason for that.

i also read in an interview that cotto also said that "he wasn't able to see pac's punches" too (same thing with what hatton have said in the past)... those punches from different angles are realy hard to deal with.

I couldn't resist the "The Lord aka God Is A Manny Pacquiao Fan" option  But really, I think all options played a factor in the fight, the primary reason for me aside from Pacquiao's skills was his physical ability to move out of harms way during exchanges and counter Cotto fast and hard right on the button. I guess The Lord played favorites when blessing Manny Pacquiao :D

lack of speed and defense from cotto.....plus manny's speed...

I really thought cotto had some leaky defense in there....
