Almost every single one of us on this site who calls them self a boxing fan knew he was a limited fighter, knew he had a padded record and knew he got a few lucky results on the way. You're no great prophet, it's easy to predict when someone is gonna get exposed...all they have to do is lose once in 40 fights and you can claim ultimate victory.

I think most sensible boxing fans, even the British ones knew Hatton was probably losing to PBF and Manny, the only difference is we supported him and wanted him to win. Completely different things, of course you get delusional people who thought he was gonna batter PBF and Manny but then again some people thought Roy Jones beat Joe Calzaghe.

Just the typical ESB mentality, a fighter is only as good as his last performance. That's why Mosley is an ATG and Hatton is an overrated bum.

Even if you don't take into account their last fights Mosely is a lot, lot better than Hatton. Maybe not ATG, but definitly one of the best of the last 20 years. Hatton is over-rated.

 

ESB has short memories. Shane was supposed to retire after the Mayorga fight now he is some warlord who is invincible

As far as I could make out he was 30 seconds away from retiring...Mayorga drops his hands whilst lighting up a celebratory cigar, and bammo, Shane is back in the saddle.:fire

 

He was actually winning the fight on the scorecards... Don't ask me how but there you go.

He would have fought on but a lower level.

 

Nah, if it wasn't Witter it would just be something else with most of the vocal minority that like to have a pop at Hatton.
