I suppose now if Mayweather fights the winner of Mosley vs Berto he is ducking Pacman?

    You make me laugh.

A month ago there was talk that Mayweather will have his legacy tainted if he doesn't fight Mosley. Now I get the feeling that people will see it as a ploy to avoid Pacman.

Now I'm not saying everyone is a hater. I'm just underlining some double standards. This here is a great example.

A month ago a certain poster said "The public want it, Mosley wants it. If Fraud wants to be the man he has to beat the man. There is no excuse for him not to fight Mosley."

That same poster said the following just yesterday. "Fraud will be hoping that a shot mosley somehow pulls off a victory against berto, this will be the excuse he needs to duck pacman."

For the record, I expect pacman to score a late stoppage against Floyd. But Mosley has suddenly been completely overlooked. Lets not forget he is currently the lineal champion.

Double standards are rife on this forum. But in this particular case, I think it can be partially attributed to the hype surrounding the results of the fights.

Floyd’s one sided affair against Marquez, led everyone to believe the man is completely invincible against anyone smaller than him. Consequently reaffirming the case that he should fight a fully fledged welterweight next (Mosley).

Now that Pac has just destroyed the powerful Cotto in a manner none of us thought possible, we again have been caught up in the hype, and believe this little man is actually capable of giving the bigger Mayweather problems. Everyone seems to have forgot about Mosley now.

The power of hindsight would be a wonderful thing.

Good point. With Manny destroying Cotto, Manny-Mayweather is the fight that is fresh on everyone's mind.

But if Mosley does beat Berto (which I think he will), I wouldn't take anything away from Mayweather for fighting Mosley next.

For Mayweather, there are only two fights on the horizon right now. Pacquiao or Mosley. And considering they both have welterweight titles now, as long as he fights either of them, I don't think anyone can complain.

Nobody cares if Mayweather fights Mosely! It won't sell on PPV even an quarter of the buys that Pacquiao would. No discussion.

Yep, those two fights seemed to be the only ones that will interest Floyd, and will likely be the curtain closers to his career.

However I will still somehow feel cheated by Mayweather, in that by the time he faces Mosley, his opponent will almost be 40 years old and possibly be deteriated and short of his best. Now Considering Mayweather has been at this division for quite some time now, and is a fully fledged welterweight, it's slightly dissappointing to know he's only bothered to fight one elite fighter in a division which was at one point rich and deep with fierce fighters.

Going away and hiding in his hole for 18 or so months, has deprived us of seeing him in there with best. That's something that will always make me detest Floyd
