He's never really been staggered except maybe once in the Judah fight and early in the Hatton fight, but has he ever fought somebody with Pacquiao's quick explosive power? Corrales? I don't think so. It remains to be seen if Floyd can take a shot like Manny's.

I agree with all of this. Well it depends on the brawl part though. Hatton forced him to fight his fight because he kept running in forward and he fought him on the inside. He does have a good inside game and inside defense for when they get in close.

But his output and hands are the biggest issues.

I am pretty certain he wore Reyes gloves in the Hatton fight. I hope he will wear them against Pac and come to fight

yeah his intelligence and patience keeps him from fighting the other mans fight..so he mostly avoids all out brawls

i agree though his output and brittle hands are the only weakness he has

It's a weakness because if he gets forced into a brawl he may be found wanting

Doesn't throw enough punches - room to be outworked
Doesn't hit that hard - can be walked down
Neglects the jab a lot - easier to get inside
Too defensive - doesn't impress judges if he always retreats.
    Doesn't throw combinations - normally 1 at a time (147+)

    - Lack of output
    - Bad hands
    - Often pulls straight back in a way that he'd get caught by someone with long reach
    - Fails to protect his weak side when pulling off the ropes (also something only someone with great reach could take advantage of)
    - mediocre power
    - takes rounds off / doesn't try to win every round
    - Sometimes doesn't cover up when he's relying on reflexes (which could lead him to get tagged against very quick fighters, i.e., vs Zab Judah, and will leave him susceptible to getting KOed once his reflexes slow down a bit, like with Jones)

Most of those won't help Pac a whole lot, but is why I still maintain that Paul Williams would be his toughest matchup.

Its something he may not that good at. Its possibly a weakness. Doesn't mean it will ever be exploited

Not really....also how is it a weakness that he isn't a "warrior or brawler"...??:huh You juss hatin...

Floyd has trouble with double and triple jabs...Since moving up to 147 he gets a tad sloppy on the ropes sometimes...He also doesn't throw a lot of combinations....From 130,135,140 he was throwing a lot of combinations which is a solid weakness especially if he is fighting Pac...

This coming from a floyd fan too.:thumbsup
