we've got no clue how Pac-Floyd negotiations work out. Shane would've had a major say in it

i hear ya...and i know a fight w/ berto isnt going to be an earth shaking event but its still a good fight and if he can win (which i'm sure he will) he is still in a good position. either pbf and pac doesnt/won't get made or he can get the winner if it is made.

haha damn, i can't believe he was willing to go down to 143 for a shot at pac....i guess in hindsight that may not have turned out so well

this is the land of oppotunity for mosley, im quite sure hell beat berto. Then he will have 2 belts, with those belts and by beating berto and margo, he´ll have a bigger claim to the title as "the man", then any other fighter there.

if he wishes, he could squeeze a cotto rematch in, after fighting berto. So he keeps busy while pac abd floyd fights.

so if, or shoud i say when pac and floyd fights, there´s no way they can avoid a showdown with mosley, for the supremacy at 147. Unless they duck him.

Most of you guys are really caught up with this money bull**** aren't you ?

It's not like Mosley is only paid $200 000 to face Berto....

He's making decent money and is in a fight that will make him unify belts + add something decent to his own legacy.

With the WBC & WBA belt...he's the only true meaningful next target for Mayweather after Pacman.

The risk is there but the reward is still available not too far away...

Why do people talk so much crap about Mosley? Who else could have done that to Margo? Styles make fight but boxers give Mosley Problem(forrest, wink, and cotto) but Pac is not really a boxer but an unorthadox fighter who loves to slug and that might play in to Mosleys hands.

PAC wasn't a WW. He was a jr WW and P4P Best...but Floyd came back as a WW and didn't mention pacs name. He went back to WW and faced a 135 pounder in JMM....who can't make the claim that Juan was the best anything....especailly not the best or one of the best WW's out there. Shane, Cotto, Paul and Clottley were the best....Now PAC can be thrown in the mix at WW.

Unfortunately for Shane, time is not on his side. He is already 38 and he's not getting any younger.

Not a bad strap to have. I personally think it is going to be a hell of a fight. Props to Berto and Mosely. If Mosely wins here he will face Pac or Floyd, surely. He's the next biggest name in the division and would be considered the champ having beaten Margo and Berto. He may have to get through Cotto first, which could be a huge factor, at his age.

you answered your own question and didn't realise it. it hasn't sunk in for you yet. margo may have appeared to be the man, but really did turn out to be as you say a little *****.
result is, mosely can't own the division by virtue of beating margo.

i have to disagree with the o/p entirely.
i criticised mosely after his interview crash for trying to jump rank. i felt he was viewing his own victory over margo out of perspective.
in my opinion, mosely is doing exactly the right thing in fighting berto, in order to win himself a ligitimate place in line. if he beats berto, then he's next. cudos to mosely for signing.
i criticised him heavily, so now must give mosely credit for doing the right thing.

Shane will be fine. If Pac/Mayweather gets made, he will be in line for the winner of that fight and that will be a huge payday.

That was suicidal. But gave me a good laugh. If (it's more of a question of when) Shane gets past Berto, Shane will take anything and I mean anything, for a shot at Pac/Mayweather if it gets made.

"Come on Floyd, I'll take 40/60 just like how you want it, people want to see the fight, I"ll fight you at 147, 145, 144, I won't even fine you for extra lbs. I'll even take 35/65. Let's do it."
