How good is Mayweather really?

    Reach advantage isn't the same as size advantage. I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather and Tyson have a similar reach.

    Here let me say it slow Newbie cuz u prolly never stepped foot into a ring or boxing gym....In boxing the first thing you learn is to protect yourself at all times....So whats wrong with floyd "protecting himself at all times":huh. If your suggesting that Floyd's skills aren't in par with Manny Pac you might wanna go watch Floyd's early career as well as his recent fights...Floyd has excellent technical skills and he knows how to "hit and not get hit"...

    I guess Floyd should start trading punches so that he CAN GET HIT SO HE IS EXCITING TO WATCH RIGHT...:bart IF HE HAS THE CHANCE TO MOVE OUT THE WAY OF A PUNCH HE SHOULD JUST STAND THERE AND TAKE THE PUNCH..YUP...THATS HOW U BOX:thumbsup

    damn good, hes been training all his life and been raised to be a fighter by two great trainers who them selves are good fighters who have fought atg fighters. really good amatuear career and olympic medalist. he has every advantage going for him most of the time. extremly precise, fast, great defense and early career awsome offense. elusive as they come. he lifts weights with his head. he can be prone to illegal movements

    Well we know he is good, very good even. But as a Welter it is hard to say... He beat Judah when Judah was still a top tier Welter, a lot of people forget that. But since Judah he hasn't been very impressive. Not that the people he has beaten were bad; they were just old, or fighting in a weight class they didn't belong in. If he fights Pacquiao, we will be able to see how he handles a top Welter...

    Perhaps my post was a bit disrespectful. To be clear, Mayweather didn't get to where he is by not being a very good boxer. His record stands for itself. It is not a question of whether he is a good boxer. My question is how good is he? Is he great? An all-time great?

    With risk comes great reward. Unfortunately, I don't think Floyd has taken great risks. Without doubt, he is a masterful technician with excellent skills. Can he beat the very best though? This is the question. Hopefully, we will find out within the year.

    Floyd is a fine, undefeated fighter (so is Chad Dawson for that matter) but Manny is the best.....

    Floyd has female tendencies and is a ***.....
