You never know until they get in the ring. Who would have thought Manny would bury Cotto ? What was even a bigger surprise was the way Mayweather handled Corrales, back in the day. You never know what'll happen when guys on this level compete. Both have the capacity to take the other places they've never been before in a fight. The most rational thought is, sure, Mayweather seems to have the edge. It may be a mistake though, to underestimate what Manny could bring to Floyd.

Haven't we all been down this road with Pac already before the Cotto fight?

Pac took Cotto's best shots coming in. Pac just shook it off. How about other way around? Floyd will go down once he tasted Pac's hard shots.

With all due respect, when was the last time Pac fought a right handed fighter? It was Marquez. Diaz, Oscar, Hatton, and Cotto are all left handed fighters who really dont have a right hand. The straight right and moving to Pacs left and keeping your foot outside of his left foot nullifies the left hand. A left handed fighter can not do this and Roach and Arum knows that. Watch was Floyd does. He will circle to Pacs left and shoot straight right hands. Boxining 101. I know you will say Pac has improved his right hand, maybe, but better than Floyds? Another thing, I watched the fight and there were too many wide looping haymakers by both Pac and Cotto. Floyd will see that stuff coming a mile away. Cant wait for the fight.

I tend to agree with most - Mayweather will box his way to a wide UD. But Pac is the only guy out there IMO that can maybe catch up with him once or twice in the fight and perhaps ring his bell - Mayweather will eat more leather in a fight against Pac than anyone else will land on him. I just dont think it'll be enough.
Mind you I picked DLH to beat Pacman, and have been worried about the Hatton and Cotto fights so maybe I'll continue to be surprised - I can only hope.

What are you talking about. Hatton and Marquez are both natural righties. Oscar and Cotto were both born lefties but fight orthodox. The only guy that he fought in a southpaw stance was Diaz.

we're comparing cotto's and mayweathers ability to take a punch. their punching power has nothing to do with it. serious question, how old are you and where are you from?
