as well as ironic that Floyd wants to bash Manny for saying that it's up to his promoter to make the fight when all I've ever heard out of Floyd's mouth is "Al Haymon" and "Leonard Ellerbe". A little pathetic.

If they're not, then who are they? I clearly heard him say he'd talk to Ellerbe about what next in the JMM post-fight.

You're missing the point jackass...Floyd has always claimed his team makes all his decisions than rips on someone for saying the exact same thing. But I guess you only focused on the job titles...dickhead.

I give up with the nuthuggers, they contradict themselves as many times, if not more, than their boy does.

floyd always said "we'll talk it over with my team" and everyone on here gives him **** for it. so don't get your panties up in a bunch because someone points out that pacquio does the same thing.

The only difference is, Floyd calls other fighters on it when does the same thing. Which is why he gets **** for it, but it's nothing new.

Here's what your missing, Floyd is the only one who decides who he fights. Ellerbe and Haymon negotiate the purse split, venue, and things of that nature. For all of Floyd's talents, he is not a negotiator. He doesn't have the education to properly write up and structure a contract. With Pacquiao, Arum has the final say on who he fights. Pacquiao can't fight anyone without getting the go ahead from Arum. Do you see the difference?

This is all just the negotiation pregame.

Floyd wants Pac to speak so he can use what he says against him when it comes time to make the fight. Manny was told not to talk about the fight to make sure they don't lose any leverage during negotiations.

I don't think it's all on Floyd. Roger most likely plays a large part in deciding who Floyd fights as well.

 Roger is basically Floyd's puppet. Do you remember when Floyd made Roger quit as Forbes' trainer because he didn't want Roger to help Forbes beat Hoya, which would **** up the rematch? Roger may give advice to Floyd about who to fight, but he doesn't make any decisions in that aspect.

Give advice, that's what team does doesn't it. Roger should not have been training Forbes in the first place as that was a bone-headed business move. I think you give Floyd too much credit. He may have the final say, but what fighter doesn't. If Arum became senile and told Pac to fight Pavlik, what would you think happen?

bottom line is most fighters consult a team but when floyd bitches about pac doing it when he clearly does, he looks like an idiot. and yeah, if floyd doesn't want to get **** on for what he says, he shouldn't beg on his knees for attention all the time. now he's got it.

love him as a fighter, love him as a talent, love his fights. but **** he's on my nerves lately

Maybe you don't know how these promotional contracts work, but many of them allow the promotional company the final say on who their fighters fight. Top Rank is one of these companies. None of these guys can fight anyone with without Top Rank's blessing. If Arum became senile, someone else would just assume his responsibilities.
